I´ll give it a bit more time tonight to see if the fridge will be smelly when it´s empty.
Nevertheless it should not be smelly if there is nothing in there that past it´s expiration date.

(Edit: see you need Testingcheats on, that made my game crash once, haven't tried using that cheat ever again. But I guess it would help, because when I sell the fridge and get a new one it also is gone, for a while.)It's been reported. There's a thread somewhere.
