My Sims always love turning the fireplace on, regardless if it's cold outside. It could literally be the middle of summer with a heatwave and they will still light the fireplace. I've learned that if there's a fireplace on the lot, it will always be lit by Sims.
It's been an issue for me for so long I've decided to turn off autonomy for it in MCCC. If you use MCCC, use MC Tuner to disable light fireplace. Now I can have fireplaces in my Sims' homes and never worry about it being on all the time and causing fires.
My Sims always have to light the fireplace too. No matter what Season.
I play on the PS5. So i donˋt have any MCC or Mods.
My Solution: I replaced the fireplace with another one. Since then the fireplace has not been lit.
