Failing Charity Benefit Party Breaks Relationships Panel & Sim Profile

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1) Have Pristine Reputation 2) Plan Charity Benefit Party for some time/date in advance 3) Lower Reputation to Neutral before the party starts 4) Fail the Charity Benefit Party event 5) Check relationships panel; some guests' relationships will be broken
What happens when the bug occurs? The hosts' relationship indicators become broken for guests when the party fails -- a blue box with an empty tooltip (if the sim had no relationship previously with this particular guest). If the sim had a relationship (good friends was one I saw this with in my testing) with host, the icon indicator for that relationship will still appear, but the relationship meters for friendship and romance will appear empty. Also relationship type disappears from the Sim Profile Panel.
What do you expect to see? For guests the host sim had no relationship with prior to the party ending: empty relationship meters, but the stranger/acquaintances relationship status with appropriate tooltip. For guests the host sim had a relationship bit with prior to the party ending: the appropriate relationship bit icon and tooltip, as well as the actual values of the relationship meters. Relationship indicator in the sim profile panel appearing as normal.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Seems like the relationship level indicator is missing (should be stranger or maybe acquaintance?).

More Context: I actually first encountered this bug while testing a mod I'm making that allows the Charity Benefit party to be thrown by sims in the Politics Career. I didn't touch anything related to relationships or anything in that file (just added the activist career 'has chosen a cause' trait to the host test's whitelist), so I was pretty sure it wasn't my tuning edits causing it. My running hypothesis is that the bug occurs because the game doesn't expect the event to be able to be failed... sims with Pristine reputation typically get a score bump to party events that (I think) results in auto-Bronze status. So to test that theory, I tried to think of a vanilla situation where you could both be able to throw the party (which requires Pristine reputation to plan), and start the event with neutral reputation (creating the possibility of failing it/removing the score bump). That resulted in the steps to replicate I submitted above. Before I tested them, I cleared my mods folder and cleared caches. From there, I was able to successfully replicate it in a vanilla game.

Not sure if it always happens or if it is more likely if there are sims your host doesn't know that show up at the party (and you don't bother to introduce yourself to them while they're there). Only tested a couple of times.
