I updated my game and have been playing just fine since the release but just a few hours ago, I opened up the game and my save and can't seem to bathe my toddlers.
My household consists of 2 adults, 1 teenager, 2 toddlers, and a baby. I've had both adults and teenager attempt to give either toddler a bath but no luck.
When I select them to give the toddler a bath, they put the toddler in the tub, but instead of washing and making the cleanliness bar raise, they immediately take them back out of the tub. I have no mods enabled, so that can't be an issue.
EDIT:
I just tested it with another randomly made family and it works just fine. It seems it's only that one specific save having the problem.

From what I'm reading, the bug is caused by the baby
Try aging the baby up to see if you still have the issue

My game just updated and I have aged the baby to a toddler. Mother and father could both give the baby a bath until the new baby was born. Now, neither of them can give her a bath (and she really needs one) I can take her to the bath and put her in but they take her right back out. And my game seems to stall whenever I give the adults tasks. I have it so the dad feeds the toddler and he just stands there. Mother is supposed to be changing the baby diaper and she just sleeps (even though I've cancelled the sleep 2x) HELP!

Me too! I had the same stalling issues with the adults. Once the baby aged up to a toddler, everything ran much more smoothly, even though I now had two toddlers in the household (and no babies).

Marking this as solution for visibility. It's still a unsolved bug
I can replicate this and it definitely seems to be the baby.
If you have more than one floor, put the crib on a different floor than the baby. If you have one floor, put the baby outside while you bath the toddler
This issue can also be caused by the talking toilet and a urn/tombstone close to the tub

Is anyone else having issues bathing their toddler's? I've tried just about everything, but every time my sim tries to bathe the toddler, she puts the toddler in the bathtub for all of two seconds and immediately takes the toddler out again. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi @moonkitty6
I've merged you post with existing bug report
Please refer to the solution post for a workaround

In single bathtubs, I have no issue bathing my toddlers. But If I have a bath/shower combo, I cannot initiate a bath from adult to toddler. If the toddler initiates it, there no issue. But if the adult initiates it, it won't even queue up. Nothing happens at all.

Hi @naithehuman
do you have a baby on your lot ? Are you using any mods ?
- 9 years agoNo mods and no baby. No bath shower combos work for toddler bath.
Every time the sim (no matter what age) goes to take a bath, bubble bath, bath with soak (spa day) or wants to give bath to a toddler it cancels the interaction and reacts to the toilet instead.

- 9 years agoHi,
No, I don't have a baby. When I had toddler I ve had the problem with bathing it, but than it aged up and children, teens, adults also have this problem. Sometimes with the shower too. Now I tried with autonomy off- the child didnt cancel the interaction, teen did cancel and had the 'cool thing is cool' interaction wih the toilet.
I ve tried it without mods as well it was the same problem (I only use hair cc anyway).

I've moved your post to the Sims 4 forum where other players should be able to give you expert advise 🙂

I've put the bathtub in the garden until the baby problem is patched 🙂

I had this problem too, and my Sim was finally able to bathe the toddler when I put a regular bathtub in, previously I had the cheapest bath/shower combo. Before I replaced the bath/shower combo, I tried moving it outside, but the same thing happened; my Sim would put the toddler in the tub, sit down to start washing her and then take her out immediately and the toddler was still filthy. There was also a baby on the lot, and I didn't make the connection until I saw this thread. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I'm on a Windows 10 computer and have no mods or CC in my game.

I have the same problem with my toddler not staying in the tub. I also have a baby on the lot. I will try a different tub. Also using the el-cheapo tub/shower combo. Thanks!

you will find quite possibly that its ebcause there is not enough room in front of the bath for the puddles to form it needs 2 complete rows free in front of the bath

Recently, I haven't been able to bathe my toddlers. It all started when I had a toddler (female) and bathed fine for the first half of her time as a toddler. Then, out of nowhere, when her mother would give her a bath, she'd dip her in momentarily then take her back out again extremely quick, and this didn't help her bad hygiene. I tried to bathe her OVER AND OVER with many different methods and it still wouldn't work. I waited for her to age up, and the problem was gone. Now, I have a new toddler (male) and I have the same problem. One day the mother left the house so I hired a nanny in hopes that the nanny could successfully bathe the child. I came home, and my toddler was clean! I tried it AGAIN with the nanny while I was watching, and it didn't work 😞 WHAT DO I DO?!

Do you have any Mods or CC installed? If so remove them and try again.
Whether or not you hire a Nanny or sends the Toddler to daycare while travelling the game checks if the toddlers needs are too low and simply sets it back to full if so. The Nanny doesn't physically bathe the toddler while you are away.
