Action progress bars no longer are interrupted when a new action is added to a Sim's queue.
Fixed in Patch 1.68.154/ 1.33

I’m also having this problem and finding that it makes the game almost unplayable. It’s very difficult to look after a baby and toddler in a household when the adults keep getting interrupted on their way to feed themselves or their children (or literally to do anything useful). I also have had sims ruin good relationships with other sims by randomly deciding to share fake bad news with them. It’s very frustrating!
Just a funny note--I'm seeing on twitter that even the fire fighters are getting this bug! People are posting videos of firefighters playing with future cubes & clay while a fire rages behind them🙂
some families are more affected than others, some families are basically unplayable, they interrupt every action, they don't sleep, they don't eat, they start new knitting actions and want to bake every 5 minutes.
If all families were like that I'd delete the game and would be done with TS4
Legit just started d/ling Sims 3 again. 😕
Not just for this, though I worry about a new variant of it popping up again.
