[FIXED] Aliens Stole My Parents Scenario: Parents returning during scenario

Aliens stole my perents scenario isn't working. Parents came back when childrens goes to school.

My parents never leave in the first place. They're just always there. This scenario is clearly broken.

Just got it to work by creating the teen as the first sim.

beware, issues started later into the scenario for me. Even though I didn't meet criteria it randomly completed but left my kids as C students and then no matter what I did I couldn't get them to even go to school after.

This keeps happening I tried to reload past saves and replaying from before they came back but it keeps happening. Its incredibly frustrating and disappointing that bugs keep occurring while new updates/ patches are being focused on. Please focus on actual issues. Ive been a player for years and I’m ready to just stop because ea is a * company only out to make more money like they dont get enough from loyal customers. 

It looks to me like the game thinks the parents are “home” doing an action of “abducted by aliens” rather than fully away.

They still make and receive phone calls, show as at home when you’re off the lot with the kids, show up in the travel with options, and gain fears and lifestyles. If you click on them, you can see the game trying to auto-queue additional actions for them to do next.

Often, when you’re away from the lot then travel back again, the parents will briefly appear standing outside the home before they resume the “action” of being abducted by aliens.

 I didn’t test to see what happens if you choose to travel with them, because I was afraid of breaking it. Has anyone tried? Does it say they’re busy and can’t come?

This may be as intended - but it is a bit odd.

Was really looking forward to this scenario, but it's no fun if the parents al of a sudden turn up again. :{

This has happened to me too.  I’ve also had the teen randomly die and disappear, while sleeping in bed, and the child randomly get taken away for neglect, when he was doing fine Motive-wise.  Very disappointing.
