There is now a glitch where all, and I mean all of the female children in the game are heavier than they should be. And I am not being inconsiderate of other people's weight and feelings. Because in every Sims 4 Lets Plays that I watch regularly, every single female baby has aged up to be a heavier child. (including my own sims in several different saves) This happens even if the parents are very thin too. I just thought I would share this issue.

Changed your title to reflect the issue better
Are you using any mods in your game ?
- Anonymous11 years agoCould having mods be causing this? I've seen this problem happen in many people's games, but no one has commented on it because weight is a sensitive subject. Could this be a problem with the latest update?

Could be could be not. The problem is that I need it tested on vanilla games so Maxis can't say it's caused by mods.
I've asked around on twitter and got a few that have the issue.
Added it now.

I have the same problem and still did even when I took out all my mods. And feeding them too much as babies is not an issue because I tried aging them up straight after they were born and nothing changed. It appears to just be a bug with the game.

Any changes for this ?

I'm having the same issue after the last update but not with just female children.
All new women Sims in my game are being born with big feets and belly even if she is thin. It's so big that I have to turn on the CASfulledit to reduce the sizes.

I finally figured out what is happening.
My Sims grow bigger just if the Sims meet with another one generated by the own game.
So if someone from my active family has a baby with a homeless Sim it will grown with great belly and feet. The problem is all future generation will have the same genetic in these body parts even if I change in CAS. - Anonymous10 years ago
I thought I was the only one who noticed this... It's so annoying! They are all overweight.

It's a shame isn't?
But this problem just happens when you have a kid with a homeless Sim generated by the game. Even if you change them in CAS, all future generations are already doomed with a big belly, giant feet and large hips.
So to avoid this problem I don't recommend to marry with them. Do this just If you have no options... :/

I have the same problem since the toddler patch! All male toddlers grow up supersized (overweight). Before the patch I did not had the problem and I never use mods.

I've had this too, since the patch everyone is heavier.

Is anyone happy upload your save game and advise of the Sims impacted?
If so, please zip up this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves and drop the file to this Mediafire-Link to upload and post your sims names here. Please make sure to name the zip file with your user name.

@IrishMadCat_EA: I loaded up my saves folder!
The name of the Sim boy (child) is Ken Bach. His father Felix Bach (young adult) aged up heavier than he should as well. Both live in Newcrest but Felix was born in San Myshuno.
Thank you for having a look into it! (^-^)

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This has been happening since the toddler patchā
Hi everyone I'm at my wit's end here I'd really appreciate some help.
Whenever I age up a male baby into a toddler, it is always overweight. Even if it has skinny parents and is aged up right after being born/adopted, the toddler is still overweight and when I look at it in CAS the slider is all the way at the top. I have no issue with overweight people but it's frustrating that all my male sims are one body type and I can tell it's a bug.
I have never used mods/cc, my game is fully up to date and I've tried reinstalling it twice. I don't know what to do and it's extremely frustrating.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions because I'm not sure why I'm having this issue.

This happened to my toddlers before I ever used any cheats, cc or mods. It still happens now that I just started using them a couple of months ago.
- alanmichael18 years agoSeasoned AceI can confirm this bug - all toddlers, children and teens of my played families are overweight (NPC children are slim) after aging up. It's easy to reveal the teens' "real" appearance with some hours in the gym, but there is no way to change the children with sports or healthy food.
