HELP!
I have a really weird issue with my game. I had a sim who had a baby. There wasn´t room in her small apartment for the baby, so I moved her into an empty lot to build a new house. Problem is the crib was placed outside the lot for some reason. This means, that I can´t move the crib inside my house. I tried to move out of the lot and into a new lot - but the baby stayed behind in the grib. I had to make the baby become older. The crib, you ask? Still standing next to my lot. When my sim had another baby - the new baby ended up in the same crib away from my house.
- I have tried turning the game off also AND tried the "bb.moveobject" -cheat. NOTHING WORKS!
- Should I just let my baby live outside in the snow or is there a way to get out off this mess? :-)
@Tanja_bmielskov Please try...
- Put the baby in your household inventory (go to build mode, select the bassinets that the baby is in, and click the 'delete' button).
- You could try to reset the baby:
Reset a sim: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/how-to-reset-stuck-and-unresponsive-sims-in-the-sims-4/ - Did you exit then re-enter the lot &/or the game?
- Try saving the family to your library then placing them on another lot.
- Try saving the family to your library then placing them in a new game-save.
- Did you run a a game repair?
- Do you have Mods or CC - or have you had them in the past?
Debug/reset the stuck object (crib)
Make sure your active sim is on the lot and do the following:
1. Enter Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheats panel2. Type cheat "testingcheats true" and hit enter. You should get a message that testing cheats are enabled.
3. Hold down Shift and left-click on the crib
4. Select "Set As Head"
5. Hold down Shift and left-click on your active sim (the crib will become the sim's head)
6. Select "Reset Object (debug)". Now the crib should appear next to the sim on the lot.
- Try rolling back to a previous save (before the issue occurred (https://answers.ea.com/t5/forums/editpage/board-id/the-sims-4-game-information-en/message-id/18091)
- You can try resetting your game if none of the above helped: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/
Please let us know if any of this worked. Thanks!
