[FIXED] [BDK] Bunnies and filth fiends are too frequent

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.71.86.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Bust the Dust and Get to Work
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Playing for a long period of time.
What happens when the bug occurs? Dust bunnies and filth friends appear too quickly 3-6 times each day in a 2 sim household.
What do you expect to see? Dust bunnies and filth friends appear right when my sim is cleaning and it makes it impossible to clean everything.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Since I started playing with bust the dust

Not sure if the frequency is a bug or just bad tuning but it makes the feature annoying and hard to play with. DISABLING THE SYSTEM IS NOT A SOLUTION. I BOUGHT THE KIT TO PLAY WITH THE FEATURE NOT FOR IT TO BECOME THE MAIN OBJECTIVE IN MY SIMS' LIVES.

    We retrained our adorable yet filthy Dust Bunnies to not appear quite so often. We also made some tweaks to the dust situation and we hope now that it doesn’t accumulate as frequently as it has. What’s your favorite name for your Dust Bunny? Mine is Furthur! (Italian Simmers… hope you know what I’m talking about).

    A lot of us bought the dust kit thinking it would add realism to the game. I want t expecting to get a “thrill” out of fusing as you say. Also, I don’t want my sims to dust constantly and have to give up their jobs just to have time to clean their houses. All I wanted was a little bit of dust for them to vacuum and for the houses to look a little less neat and pristine.

    I'm uninstalling as I type!  Way too much for my busy sims to deal with.  Hey!  We want to stay out dancing for days! And we have jobs and a big garden to tend to and a very large mansion!  :D

    @MDSimss The Dust had taken over my home so much, all the cleaning (Nannies, Butlers, Maids, and a Gardener) yet I had my baby taken from my level 10 parenting skills two parents. My nanny actually stopped being helpful and more of just in the way. I love new ways to play, added realism... but it definitely needs to be controlled... Maybe a slot for a lot trait OR a scale in some way? (Naturally Pristine/Kept Clean/Easy Clean/Mounting Mess/Dangerously Dusty/Maliciously Messy)

    @Kennedygames My solution was to uninstall until the devs come up with a fix, which seems likely from comments I've been seeing. They are listening to us. 🙂. I really think they will tone this down, if they don't I'll ever reinstall that kit. It was so cheap, i won't even ask for a refund, it's a minor annoyance, compared to all the hours of uninstalling/reinstalling the whole game twice! (Maybe some compo for that would be nice!)

    Don't want to spend my time cleaning, so I switched it off from the menu, but they still appear. Feel like I wasted my money on this kit and it wasn't anything special, just annoying.

    @Funfair1 Yeah, who wants to vacuum to perfection?? and who really wants these bunnies running around the house? Apparently nobody! Waste of money and a lot of my time, un and reinstalling the game without it! So much easier now I just had triplets! Couldn't have played them if they were worried so much about dust every second!

    I would like to add to everything that has already been said that the Sims keep stopping all work to vacuum. For example, when I tell my Sims to write a book, they sometimes stop up to ten times to vacuum. Even when cooking, the cooking process will be interrupted to vacuum and the food then remains unfinished on the stove. This is really frustrating and makes the game nearly unplayable.

    @BlueAngel_c That Too. The recent problem with Sims starving due to starting to cook a meal when hungry and then not finishing 90% of the time I've noticed is due to the drive to vacuum constantly. Since the only way TO remove dust is to vacuum at this time (which is rediculus really, it should be added to Scrubberloo spell capabilities from ROM, as well as a broom to use to sweep in the event you either can't afford a vaccum or live OffTheGrid. And I know there are battery packs for the vaccums for off the grid use but have read they don't work. Or if they do where do you go to charge them when off the grid? Another lot and come back?) I have noticed when you remove the vaccums from Sims inventory or never add it those sims make and eat food better than those with the vaccums. There is still a problem, but at least the drive to clean isn't interupting everything.

    @aidans1985 Before I uninstalled the kit, I removed all the vacs from their inventories and they were annoyed at the dust levels. Just couldn't take my sims anywhere to socialise. So the Kit went - up the virtual vac!
