Latest patch did the trick for me, make sure you delete your localthumbcache.
@JMoon_gamer Could you check if the patch helped you as well ?
- 3 years ago@crinrict The patch hasn't fixed it for me, I'm still experiencing it even after updating and deleting the localthumbcache. It's still autofocusing on other sims, I notice it's whenever they look at their phone or change their phone colour.

I had to put my older game aside and started a new one with only one active sim, I was getting really annoyed with the camera changes. I hope they manage to resolve this so that those of us who like to play with multiple rotating families don't have to face this disturbing problem. ☹️

still happening after the patch

So doing a lot of testing, it seems that this update destroyed my save and possibly everyone else's, even trying to recover an earlier state of the save didn't fix it... I started a brand new save and the camera/phone glitch has not happened once.. Sucked cause this was years years of work so thanks EA appreciate that...

I'm going to try to make a new save too. My whole game is essentially glitched with this weird focus on random sims and the sims constantly being on their phones. Seems like it's happening in every world. I just bought wedding stories and it was non-stop. When the camera keeps jumping around like that it's very annoying and distracting. I don't really mind the sims being on their phones as it seems very realistic but it's also kind of annoying now. Has the new save still been working? I really don't want to start all over =(
