The update that i approved this morning. Changed the life aspiration goals. I love the new features! However one of my children has malfuncted. She is on the creative aspiration. Her brother was also on the creative when i approved update. When i got in the house it wanted them to play with 3 toys. He has played with the same ones she has and it doesnt recognize her fulfillment of the required task.
What can i do for the game to recognize the task completion?

I think the main issue here is the change of the requirements of the aspirations. They are 'new' now so they are not done.
Not sure what workaround could be used for those
I had this problem in the first hosue hold I played after installing the patch. I had a sim who the job panel was not registering that she had any skill points in Video Gaming so I got her to quit her job and get it again and then used a cheat to get her to job level she was at before the patch. The job panel after that registered she had the right level of skll. I sent her off to work and after 4 days she got her promotion.
Then the game crashed and I had to go back to the save I made just before I got her to quit her job. I noticed at that point her promotion bar was maxedout so I decided that since it was a challenge household I would send her to work and then after work I would get her to quit her job and get it again and then cheat her into the position she should have got if the glitch hadn't occurred.
Well she got her promotion at the end of the work day without any intervention from me and after that she showed the correct skill level in her job panel
So it looks like even though the job panel was not showing that my sim had the right level of skill it still registered with game.
Quitting my job may help with the adults, but you can't just "quit" school to fix the aspiration and school issues.

For children, the only thing you can really do is use one of the following codes:
Careers.promote Gradeschool Careers.promote Highschool
This will bypass the requirements and manually promote them to the next grade. If your bug is in a child, they should be okay once they reach High School since High School is considered a separate "career". Likewise, if it is with a teen, they should be okay once they get a job.
Actually you don't need to do anything just send to work/school as usual
I have just had a child whose job panel was not registering that she had any skills (she had an 8 in social) get a B once she met all the other criteria.
If a sim has met all the other criteria and has the required skill points they will still get their promotion even if their job panel says they don't have right level of skill.
