[FIXED] Career Outfits get random accessory and make up added

Issue

My Sim is at Level 6 of the Painter career and I think her career outfit is wrong - the clothes on her body seem appropriate for her job but she's wearing a baseball cap and sunscreen (at least that's what I think it is - the white face paint option that goes on the nose? I assume it's sunscreen since it came with pools) which to me looks more like part of a sports outfit than an artist's outfit. This is what she changes into every time she goes to work. The cap and face paint were the same for Level 5, I had hoped once she got promoted that the odd outfit would fix itself but it has stayed the same. Is this what the career outfit is supposed to look like or is it a bug?

Steps you took for Issue to occur

This issue doesn't seem to have been caused by anything in particular that I did, it's just the career outfit that she has (sorry I'm not sure what information would be useful here).

Where does the bug occur ?

So far I've only come across this issue in one save game but I've never had another Sim in this career so I'm not sure.

Mods/CC

I am not using any and I have never used them.

Expansion Packs/Game Packs/Stuff Packs

I have the Life of the Party Digital Content and Holiday Celebration Pack but no other expansions or packs.

Occurring since

I'm not sure how long this has been happening, it definitely started before the most recent update but I'm afraid I can't be more specific than that.

Operating system

Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11

  • Haven't had this happening in a long while and since patch notes for 1.17 also are supposed to fix this for existing Sims, I'm marking this as fixed

I'm not sure if this is classified as a bug, or just annoying.

The Star-Spangled Glasses accessory seems to have shown up on my Sims career outfit with no way to remove them. This puts my Sim in the playful mood for work instead of focused like I need him to be, despite studying elements or other things that give him the focused moodlet. It eventually wears off, but by then so has the focused moodlets.

No CC, No Mods, Win 7, DVD

    Added.

I so hate all that stuff showing up in random townies as well. I thought they would have learned from SIms 3 but noooooo

  • This seems to occur in all kinds of variations since the last patch.

Oddly enough, you're the first to report it here so I'll add this on the next round.

I think this may be related to the bug that is affecting clothing in the game.

I reported the same thing a few days ago.
All my bar tenders look ridiculous, even the ones my own played households. Summer Holiday attends work with blue skin and a fantasy hat.
It was happening before the update as well...

Can you add a posibilty to edit carreer clothes too?
