Then I added back in all my CC/mods and loaded back my own save and got the same error, but then I decided to have my sim's husband make two rings and had both of them wear the new ring with "all" outfits and sold EVERY other jewelry piece just to be safe. Then I closed the game, deleted thumbnail cache/last exception and reloaded it.... NO MORE error pop ups, its been three in game days.
So try having a different sim make the rings and wear them and sell everything else? I don't know- I am just so glad it stopped popping up!
I actually did the same thing. I found that the only time I got the error is when I had the Better LE mod and that is it. Mainly because I have never been able to see or get notified of an LE without a Last Exception tracking mod on my game. I did multiple different ways - with all mods off, only BLE, using crafted jewelry that another Sim made (in fact, my LE started popping up after I made my male Sim make a proposal ring and gave said ring in proposal to now wife, then once I went into gallery to give her a wedding dress with no jewelry created by her, then it appeared and never left until I disabled Crystal Creations from my game system), and as long as I have a LE reporting mod - even completely updated and correct, I still got the LE regarding the "jewelry_tracker".
So I'd recommend having a LE tracking mod still in your game when trying this, even that mod alone. It is possible that since you don't have an LE alert/tracker mod in your game, you are not getting the alert that there is a last exception, thus you don't know.
If you are still receiving that error after including the BLE mod or something similar, I'd recommend halting your gameplay still. As reported, there is a chance whether you're being notified it or not, the error could still be occurring and may corrupt your game.
However, I have tried your method already and it did not work. In fact, the LE I originally posted some time ago was with only BLE as a mod in my game. All other mods were taken off.
So I'd just double check that method. If it still doesn't appear, I'm happy for you. But I am still having it happen every time I reinstall Crystal Creations to this day and having a Sim wear jewelry that another Sim made and gave to them (or I swapped to their inventory manually).
