Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open Create-a-Sim and create a sim. Select either their head or body to view the piercings/accessories slots for both body parts. Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces and Piercings will be lit up in gold and tagged as "CONTAINS NEW ITEMS!". Clicking into the categories does not make it go away.
What happens when the bug occurs? It's a visual glitch that displays "new items" available permanently in the mentioned slots for sims. Reloading, emptying mods folder, and fully reinstalling the game without mods/CC does not work to fix it.
What do you expect to see? The "contains new items" highlight to GO AWAY when there are no new items.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Bug occurred following 2024/07/23 update. Has not gone away despite multiple uninstalls, full purges of the game files, and many attempts to reload. Now occurs with both feminine and masculine framed sims.
Accessed through Steam launcher, and then the EA launcher.
This started happening to me when I bought Crystal Creations. I think the crafted jewelry is causing CAS to flag new items but I'm not able to access them unless I craft them first. I disabled Crystal Creations in the EA App and the issue disappeared.
