[FIXED] [CCSP] Option to order Crystals missing

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Crystal creations, Backyard Stuff, Bowling night stuff, City Living, Dine Out, Eco Lifestyle, Get to Work, Get Together, Holiday celebration pack, Kids Room stuff, Movie Hangout stuff, Paranormal Stuff, Parenthood, Realm of Magic, Seasons, Snowy Escape, Strangerville, Tiny Living, Toddler Stuff, Werewolves
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I cannot purchase crystals from any buy menu; the gifts tab, computer and cell phone do not have them listed for purchase
What happens when the bug occurs? See above, I cannot buy crystals from anywhere
What do you expect to see? I expected to see the buy option for crystals under either the purchase gifts tab in the cell phone or the computer "order" menu
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

-I have already tried: Repair game, fresh save, using a computer on a different lot( eg. library, other household). Neither provided the option to buy crystals.

-Collecting crystals from dig spots works fine, I can craft jewellery according to my sims skill level but I cannot buy crystals themselves, they seem to have disappeared from all buy menus.

If need be I can send in my savegame.

Attached screenshots show all the options I have under the "order" tab from the computer.

    • Option to order Crystals is now available on the computer.

    Fixed in Patch 1.112.481/2.05
    Please create a new thread at the EA forums if you're still experiencing this issues

    @A_Jolly_Fox Did you delete the localthumbcache file in your documents folder after removing your mods/cc ?

    To be sure, no Sim has the option ? Did you ever have it and lost it or never had it ?

    @crinrict I removed the localthumbcache file after taking the mods out, it seems to have no effect sadly.

    I tested it with all sims in the household, none of them have the option, I used to have it about a month or two ago, I noticed the bug recently because I am playing with spellcasters and wanted to use moonstone as decorations but can't purchase them by traditional means. Other than RNG from dig spots or the magic realm store i do not have a way to deterministically get them.

    @crinrict I added a non spellcaster sim to the household for testing purposes but they dont have the option to buy crystals either.

    @A_Jolly_Fox Did you buy any packs since it stopped working ? Only explanation I can think of is either your mods are still active somehow or it's your pack combination.

    Don't think it will help looking at your save as you said you also tested a new one and it's not working there either.

    Whenever I try to order crystals from off the computer the option is not there. I don't know what the problem could be, removing all my mods didn't change anything. Please can someone help?

    The packs I own are Growing Together, High School Years, Cottage Living, Discover University, Seasons, City Living, Get Together, Get To Work, Werewolves, Dream Home Decorator, Realm of Magic, Stangerville, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Vampires, Crystal Creations, Home Chef Hustle, Paranormal, Nifty Knitting, Tiny Living, Moschino, My Frist Pet, Toddler, Backyard, Kids Room, Romantic Garden, Movie Hangout, Spooky, Luxury Party

    You may have solved this already. I've had this issue pop up a couple of times, and nothing worked to fix it until I tried selling my sim's computer and replacing with a new one. You can use the same model, just replace it. The option was there after I did this. Good luck.
