[FIXED] [CD] Dog/Cat disappearing

my dog also goes off lot randomly all the time, first i thought he maybe got stuck when i was travelling, but just now as i was going to pet him he suddenly dissapeared...
i also saw him be gone one time and he was on the lot "journeys end"

I'm having the exact same problem! My pets are just randomly disappearing. This started after the June 2020 update.
Hope this gets resolved soon.

EDIT: Before my dogs/pets would just be grayed over, like they just left randomly. There was previously no destination spot telling me where they were.
Now it says they are at Affuista Mansion. Every-time they randomly disappear now it says that is where they are. Strange!

  Are you able to click the whistle icon and bring them back? That's what I do. They go to a random location every time, it's kinda funny.

I'm having this same issue. My sim has 6 dogs and they all just vanish at once with no notifications.
The only way I've found to fix it is to travel and being them.

  if you enter the CUS when you return to the game the pet appears

  @BlueJay478 also : if you go into cas, they'll reappear when you go back into live mode

Hi! This happened to me and I think I figured it out. I updated the game after ECO was released and then when I moved my Sim into apartment I adopted 2 cats and they both disappeared and greyed out and I couldn't get them back. I tried resetting them, locking them in the apartment, etc. I couldn't figure it out! So, I decided my last option was to repair the game. If you go through Origin and click on the game cover you should see a list of things you can do to the game like update it or repair it. I just hit the Repair and then let it do it's thing. Took less than a minute. Now I'm playing the game and it's been a "week" in Sims time and my cat is still in the house. I also locked it in the apartment as an added security measure. I hope this works for you and everyone else with this issue! 🙂

I'm having this issue as well with my cat. I thought maybe it was the house but I completely bulldozed the lot and rebuilt and I'm still having this issue. I even got another cat and proceed to have the same issue. He just keeps disappearing, even when I'm in the middle of reacting with him. I'll call him back and have to go out and pick him up and bring him inside cause he's a kitten, can we fix this bug please?

    How often does the bug occur? Very often during gameplay, usually every few sim days, sometimes more often
    What is your current game version number? 1.64.84.1020
    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats & Dogs, Get To Work, Outdoor Retreat, Parenthood, Realm Of Magic, Vampires, Luxury Party Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff (just got it)
    Steps:
    What happens when the bug occurs? All cats grey out and disappear from the lot, sometimes even mid-interaction. Sometimes I can call them back by clicking on the whistle, other times I have to go into Manage Worlds and back on the lot for the cats to be on the lot.
    What do you expect to see? Cats staying on the lot and only going away from the lot if it's in their traits, but I could still call them back if I need to
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I had them before, but I deactivated them before June update.
