When putting your cuddly friends up for adoption you will no longer be faced with inaccessible UI.

I am unable to save the game. I put my cat up for adoption, the social worker came to get him, the cat is in the carrier and the social worker is MIA. So the game will not let me save or leave my lot until the cat is gone. When I try to save it says " Can not save while a Sim is leaving your home" So what do I do now. Love the game btw

You can try resetting the animal that's supposed to be adopted with resetsim firstname lastname.
hey, i have tried reseting the sims. and exited, and different dogs and cats. it does not work. my sim is in an appartment. never tried on house lots. though my cousin has and it worked for him on a house lot. just not in appartments. a fix for this would be great. as resetting does nothing at all. i wanted to be a sphynx breeder and now i cant ☹️ my sim has to have a dumb real job.

So what does that mean? I can never save my game or do anything about it until there is a bug fix? This has been an issue since last year from what I can tell, is there nothing that anyone has found has worked for them?
I've seen people give some solutions but they contain terms and abbreviations I really don't understand.
Please can you help?
