Hi there!
We've been unable to reproduce this so far, even using the saves provided. We noticed that all saves provided seemed to have been using a good amount of CC/Mods. Is this issue only occurring for people that were originally playing their save with CC/Mods? Has anyone ever seen this from a save game that has always been completely mod-free?
Thank you very much!
Hey so I just took all the mods off my game, restarted sims and created a new house. I stayed at home and play with my new dog for 48hrs (in game...obvs), leaving him in perfect health and then switched to a new household for 48hrs. Then I returned to my dog and he was filthy and hungry....tried it again for 24hrs, same results, no mods/cc. I tried it a few times with less time in between and my dog was fine so its seems you need at least 24hrs for the bug to happen.....

Hi, I'm still having this issue, I hope I did this right, but here's my save file if you're still needing them. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AuhY2VKtmxnhgQEdCQswlAu7R71z
- ldm27 years agoSeasoned AceI guess you could use some details too.
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the household in Brindleton Bay if they're available to you (Bradford family). Or play any household in the neighborhood where the vet clinic is located. Watch the neighborhood for any pets roaming free or being walked.
What happens when the bug occurs? All animals, included those from played households will appear looking sick & neglected. The pet I most often see in horrible shape is from the Berlin family located in Willow Creek.
What do you expect to see? All pets looking healthy and cared for. Not so many sick strays, either.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes, it's gotten worse since Seasons.- 7 years ago
To add to this I see so many sick strays yet when I go to the vets those marked as strays all of a sudden are patients with owners at the clinics.
It's hard to investigate pet ownership of townies but to test I made some townies and gave them pets and sure enough the pets showed up as sick strays yet when I traveled to the vet clinic those "strays" showed up with their townie owner.
This made me think, did the game at one point automatically decline the health of strays? I think because since there is a bug now which hyper escalates a pet's neglect the game instantly classes it as a stray even though it's actually a pet of a townie.... maybe ?
I tried to reproduce this with a healthy pet (owned by a townie) but for whatever reason all pets owned by townies get sick fast, like really neglected really fast, so I couldn't see if once a healthy owned (by a townie) pet ends up classed as stray making this a separate bug or if the stray title is rewarded due to this health decline bug.
