Hello I have been having this problem too. I had 2 adult dogs, male and female one with the smart trait and the other without the smart trait. I trained them to go potty and I did get the notification that they learned to go potty but they still wouldn't do it on their own. It was annoying but I didn't realize there was a problem until they had puppies and when I trained the puppies and got the notification I didn't have to tell the puppies go potty anymore. So I was thinking it might be adult dogs with the problem and maybe not specifically the trait unless the trait bleeds over and affects all the dogs even if they don't have it.
I'm also having this issue with my dog that has the Smart trait. During training she's learned to lay, sit, etc and has learned not to drink from puddles but won't learn to pee outside on her own. She'll just sit and whine at the door. grr.
