[FIXED] [CHEAT] Modify career outfit cheat doesn't work for part time career

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.77.146.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them except Journey to Batuu.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make sure a Sim is in a career with a uniform. Then press Ctrl+Shift+C, enter the sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas cheat, and modify the Sim's career outfit. Confirm your changes and leave CAS.
What happens when the bug occurs? The outfit is always replaced by the career's default uniform when the Sim changes into it.
What do you expect to see? The changes you make to the outfit should persist.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I think this bug has been happening since the current patch, but I'm not entirely sure. This happens in a completely mod-less game, in a save that has never had any mods interact with it.

Still having this problem. My sim is a part-time barista and has random high heels going to work that I did not use in any of her outfits. Her hair is cc and glitches over the cap, I really want to change her outfit but it's not saving.

  • I still have this issue in-game, that's pretty annoying when you set-up correctly all the career outfits for your Sims (for them to keep necessary accessories - glasses, earing aids, wedding ring,  to respect their fashion choices outside the male/female binary, or simply to avoid those horrendous generated outfits).

My guess is that it's necessary for Sims having two part-time jobs not using the same outfit, but I feel like that could be coded in a better way (as you can have multiple outfits in one category), but for other sims that have only one part-time job (or after school activity) it doesn't make sense.

  • I just came across this bug. My adult sim is a babysitter on the weekends and I hate the outfit for that job - it's definitely geared toward teens. But I am unable to modify it using the cheat. I make the changes in CAS going through the cheat, but the outfit is still the default outfit when I exit CAS and go back into the game.

Seriously?? Me too!! I have been searching high and low for a mod that could fix it but I think its the game itself! It makes me so angry that EA doesn't take their time to look into these problems since it looks like this has been an issue for awhile!
