did you also get it on speeding up the game or did it just happen ?

I had this bug, I believe I did speed up during it but I don't remember. Ultimately I had to exit and start the game and it stopped then.
But I can say what doesn't work is going to a different household, moving out to a new lot in a new world, or switching households. In fact when I switched to the households apartment next to the one having the issue, I could hear the singing from it like it was on the current lot, not muffled. Scrolling over to the grayed out area made it louder and more in focus. However the sound did stop when I was not in that apartment building, so it was definitely isolated to that one area where they were singing, for me at least.

- tyrianprince8 years agoRising TravelerI just had this exact problem. Had sim practice singing on the microphone, then heard an other sim singing as well. At first I thought maybe another sim in the hall was singing to, but when I cancelled the singing action it continued even when I had the sim perform another task. Traveled to a different lot and it stopped, but when I went back to the apartment the overlay was still there. So I exited to the main menu, without saving, and when I reloaded the household from the last save game THE SOUND WAS STILL THERE. It does seem completely isolated to that one room. I even tried deleting the microphone in build mode as 2nd when I went back to live mode, it was still there. Going to try exiting the game now and see if it works like it did for other users.
