My sim has the computer whiz aspiration. One of the things she has to do is play a video game while focused for two hours without stopping in between or not being focused any more. She has done that several times now, and it won't register which means I can't complete that part of the aspiration. I have tried to change her aspiration to something else (something nature related) and even completing the first level of that aspiration before changing back to the computer whiz aspiration. Having her play video games while focused for two plus hours when she has the nature aspiration doesn't help either. My computer's os is windows 7 There are no mods in my game, and never have been There is no custom content of any kind in my game, and there has never been any. I have the physical edition of the game, it's the limited edition version.

Fixed an issue that was preventing the Technically Adept goal “Maintain Focus for 2 Straight Hours of Video Gaming” of The Computer Whiz branch of the Knowledge aspiration from completing properly. While this issue was solvable, they have now fixed it.

I have a sim with the Computer Whiz aspiration that does not have this issue. Have you tried resetting the sim? You can use "testingcheats on" then shift+click the sim and choose the "reset (debug)" option. Hopefully this works! Let us know!

I tried to reset the sim, but it didn't work. It still says she has to maintain focus for 2 straight hours of video gaming. Too bad it didn't work. I am happy to try anything (almost, no reinstall).

Try moving the Sim out and back in via manage world

Moving her out and back in didn't work either. I'm now trying another sim in another safefile to see if he will also have that same problem.

I redid the two hours (actually just over a day), and it still didn't work, moving her to another home also didn't trigger it, it is still saying she has to do it.
My other sim who is in a completely different safe file, has the same problem. He also did do the gaming whilst focused several times for over two hours at a time, and it hasn't registered in the game.

This goal is only completed when the video game session ends AND the sim is still focused. If you play for more than 2 hours then the sim loses focus, the aspiration will not be rewarded, despite meeting all the conditions. However, if you end the session after two hours, but before the sim loses focus, the aspiration will be rewarded.

Hi i hope im posting in the right area. this is the first time ive evver posted in a forum like this (ive read the rules- i think im right???)
Anyway my sim has a smiliar problem. She is supposed to socialise with her child 20 times to fullfil the 3rd part of her aspirations goal. It has registered once and says 1/20 but no matter how manty times i do it again it will not register it. Im thinking that this is similiar to the above problem. I have also tried swapping aspirations and have moved my sims out of the home etc. i have also reset my sim using the cheat but to no avail. Help would be appreciated. Thanks
