I have been experiencing this problem with the Cow Plant becoming invisible and just showing 2 horns even though my sims can interact with it. Other plants randomly reset themselves. I am not playing with the default seasons and changed to 14 days for each season as I felt 7 days were not enough for growing times. I have recently played two Sim households that currently show this problem with the Cow Plant. The Charm family in Glimmerbrook and the Vatore family in Forgotten Hollow. I have previously played the other pre-mades installed in the various districts.
I have been experiencing problems with plants not growing as they should for sometime in my game. It really spoils the fun. It's not only plants but collectables too. They don't spawn as they should and visiting another area takes ages for the plants to grow or collectables to show up. In my opinion the plants should show up almost straight away like they did before Seasons EP. It didn't take long for plants in other areas to be ready to harvest. And unless a Sims actually lives within an area when visiting another area to find a plant or collectable are not growing and spawning as they previously did.
I don't mind plants have a seasonal growth as long as when visiting places we are able to harvest. But with plants resetting at the Sims home and plants not being available in other areas it is very difficult to actually fulfill aspirations and wishes my sims. The aspect of gardening and collecting has become a pain.
I am not very tech savvy and unfortunately can't send a file. I am still playing on Window 7 Home Edition, Intel core i7, with an Nvidia GTX 760 graphics card. Unfortunately my computer is older one and I hope this is not the reason.
I play a game without mods (a vanilla game) and only made two of my own Sims to put in the game. I have been playing each pre-made family installed in the districts. I have most of the packs with the exception of Star Wars, the recent Cottage Living and the smaller game packs that are most recent. I have the most recent patch.
