[FIXED] Cow Plant: Resets to previous growing stage

Similar thing seemed to work for me too. I moved the cow plant to a garden planter box and saved the game. When I then moved the cow plant back to ground it became the normal adult cow plant again.

Okay, well today the cow plant died and became a skeleton. Later on when I opened the game again it had shrunk to the early stage version of cow plant. Then I moved it it became a full grown one with animations and all but was still acting as it was dead (only the option to rename it when clicked). Played for a while until I noticed it had become living thing again and I can now interact with it. I guess I get a second chance ':D

This just happened to me twice in a time frame of maybe an hour. The first time I was willing to try fixing it and was able to do so after trying a combination of things mentioned here, but after it happened again I tossed the cow plant in the trash. I'm playing on Xbox One X with just the base game, so it's not like any mods or content from packs are causing it. I'm sure that to most people this is a very minor problem and they simply don't bother with cow plants, but why have the thing in the game in the first place if it isn't going to work properly? It's as if the only real use is for the Freelance Botanist aspiration, because for me the cow plants never last long enough to actually do anything with them.

This appears to happen consistently when the cow plant is within the radius of a supersell action.  If you make sure the cowplant is outside the radius of an supersell action it won't be affected.

Seems like an odd thing to cause it, though I can only assume that the game mistakenly tries to harvest the cow plant during the supersell action and it messes it up. My cow plant was right next to my other plants when this was happening, so I can definitely see it being the culprit. I guess it's nice that there's a way around it, and thank you for sharing that, though for me workarounds should be a temporary solution and not a permanent one and as minor of a problem as this may be for some it still should be fixed.

Witness Cowplant Shrinks 

@SimGuruNick Above is the save file link I'm sharing. Directly resume the Sims I play and Everyone will 100% witness the Cowplant shrinks in front of you Precisely At SimTime 12:04. No matter how many times reloading the game. It WILL shrink back. At least in my end. Enjoy this file.

I had this issue too, moving the cow plant in build mode fixes it for me

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It usually happens when I leave my lot and travel. When I come back there are plants that are reset. I've had it happen while still on my lot as well while using the rocket ship but I didn't see it happen, just saw the reset plant. I want to note as well that I keep my plants (excluding the cow plant) sheltered so they don't go out of season.

@SimGuruNick Here is my save that is having this issue, as well as the general plant resetting issue along with the cow plant reset. I have not had mods installed during this save creation or play through.
