[FIXED] Creating sketches breaks Digitalastic Sketchpad

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? EP01: 1.assets.ml-ep01.298
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Famous, Get to Work, Get Together, Seasons, Outdoor Retreat, Vampires, Spa Day, Parenthood
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I just took the Stylist career (please note, I took it before my daily job started, and it dropped the daily I had to give me the new one). My first daily for the career is 'Create Sketches'. I've tried, first doing several sketches on the 'Digitalastic Sketchpad' I received when I started the career. After I finished creating the sketches (none of which counted), the pad now only gives me the option of 'Paint from Reference' and 'Put in Inventory'. When I tried to sell the pad, it said it was worth 0 Simoleons. (Also, if I choose 'Paint from Reference', I take a picture and the Sim doesn't do anything at all.) I put the pad in storage, and bought a brand new one. At first, it gave me all the options, but as soon as I chose sketch, it did it (again without counting), and now only shows the same 'Paint from Reference' and 'Put in Inventory'. So I'm not sure if the issue is with the pad, the career, or what.
What happens when the bug occurs? See above.
What do you expect to see? I expected the SIM to do his sketches, and for them to tick off on the counter.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    Style Influencer Sims now perform Quick Sketch Impression without breaking the Digital Sketchpad. Be kind with your tools and toys.

    Fixed in Patch 1.68.154/ 1.33

    I recently had my digitalistic sketchpad break similarly, ie my sim could only use it to do paint by reference and it was worth nothing when I did sold it.  My sim was a digital artist and I know I was having him use it (I can't remember for sure if was using it to complete some freelancer gig tasks vs just using it for a painting, but I think it may have been for a gig) but what I did notice is that everything froze in my save but time continued to pass.  I had set my sims to do things so didn't realize right away, however, when I did notice, I started resetting them and resetting the sim using the sketch pad got everything working again however, after doing that the digitalistic sketchpad stopped working properly.   I just wrote it off as a one off until I saw this report here.

    @SimGuruKuxiku  I am getting the same issue and it is creating a last exception for the sketchpad.  I will DM you my latest save file.  I am using the sketch impression option on the sketchpad.  My Sim is in the stylist career.

    @Bedllam Moving this over to the current thread on this.

    Do you remember what interaction broke it for you ?
  • Mine is doing the same, I play on xbox one, I dont have any packs, just base game, it worked fine for a while, then my sim in the style influencer career did the sketch impression interaction on it a couple times and then it changed to this, it just has pant from reference, put in inventory and the grayed out high performance upgrade because my sim isnt level 4 handiness. I sold it and bought a new one and it worked again, but then I tried to sketch on it to finish the 2 hours and the new one has stopped working now too.

    I just had the same issues start in the last couple of days, but the only lastexceptions I see don't even mention the sketchpad.  I have never had mods on this installation, all packs.  I have two sims in this household, one who is a style influencer, one who is a freelance digital artist, so both use sketchpads.  I've seen each of their digitalistic sketchpads suddenly with few available interactions and sell value of 0 simoleons.  It's quite annoying having to replace them all the time... thank goodness for the money cheats.
