    Fixed in Patch 1.89.214/1.60

    • When a Sim with level 10 in the Interior Decorator career does a level addition gig, they can now add additional levels, walls, stairs, and delete items on walls.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Choose the designer career, get promoted to level 10, select a gig that requires adding a level/room addition
What happens when the bug occurs? Cannot add a level, perform room additions, make changes to lot when the above gigs are selected. I have to cancel the gig which lowers reputation.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to make the h=changes requested of me for the gig.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I have played without mods to test the bug. Unfortunately, regardless of mods, the bug/glitch persists. I did not spend $22 odd dollars to deal with this.

    @cholla53 Merging your post with the level additions not working although yours sounds more general

    Do you have issues with ANY of the tasks ? Or does it depend in which house they are ?

    Could you please test on another save you never had mods in to see if the same happens ?

      I have the same thing happening to me at the 5-3-1 shinrinyoku house in snowy escape

        How is this still an issue, yet not on the 'laundry List' for fixing????

      I am experiencing this problem too in ophelia villa "Goth household"

      the gig is "restricted to top floor", but even if I remove the roof and try to build on the very topmost level (the third), it says that it's not the correct level, having the villa a roof, the system shows a level over it, but by general rule of the game you can't build over the fourth floor. Hence the impossibility to complete the task.

        I have this problem with "Fabric I" in Windenburg. And also had it before with another one.

    While at the job, go to "manage worlds" and build the extra level then go back to the game, take after pictures, call clients back and do the job like that. You still get paid and still get the performance increase. It's annoying but it works.

    I have the same problem. I don't have any mods or anything. My designer career was going well until I chose to add a level and nothing worked. I tried modifying the ground level, adding a second story, creating a basement, and adding stairs. Nothing allowed me to perform the task. I ended up going back to my previous save and starting over without choosing a level addition job.
