Fixed an issue with object picker UI menus that - when certain conditions were met - would interfere with Sims’ ability to run various “Give” interactions (interactions where objects would be given to other Sims).
Fixed in Patch 1.105.345/1.89
Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issue,
Just spent 30+ minutes typing in a detailed new bug report, after removing all mods, creating a clean save, and replicating the error to generate a lastexception.. only to have the submitted post never appear after being submitted.. twice.
This is the contents of lastexception.txt - it won't even let me attach it as a file;;;
I am not going to spend another 30+ minutes typing that bug report all in again...
In a nutshell, choose the 'Present Offering..." option when clicking on a Specter generates this exception at some point when dealign with Specters. It might be the first time, or the 2nd time or the 3rd time, but it will happen with any serving of food in your inventory.

I looked at littlemisssam's last exception and my own and it seems to be the same coding error on EA's part, called by the same line which deals with servings of food offered to toddlers causing the same exception:
"Exception running Element (TypeError: 4.500000029802322 has type <class 'float'>, but expected one of: int, long) Traceback (most recent call last): File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\scheduling.py", line 219"
For Littlemisssam it was:
"Exception running Element (TypeError: 4.500000029802322 has type <class 'float'>, but expected one of: int, long) Traceback (most recent call last): File "T:\InGame\Gameplay\Scripts\Server\scheduling.py", line 219"
I haven't programmed in years, but have an IT background and it would appear someone just made a minor error when defining these servings of food...
TLDR If they fix the exception being generated for offerings servings of food to toddlers, it should also fix the exception being generated for offering servings of food to specters. Looks like they used the same code, in the same place.
Sorry to be cranky, I am caring for a dying cat here and am mad at myself for wasting time I should have spent with the cat.
I also found a temporary workaround that stops these exceptions, at least for specters. Drop all servings of food on the ground for later destruction..
With no offending servings of food in my inventory I am then able to offer statues from the woodworking table, as well as drinks I made from the bar to the same specter that was causing exceptions each time I chose 'Present Offering...' if I had any servings of food at all n my sims inventory once the exception starts happening. It's like all servings of food carried by me, and perhaps in the fridge as well, have become badly defined and causing the exception.
Dropping them out of my inventory makes the 'Present Offering...' selector menu to choose the offering pop again, and you can offer other items.
This does not help with the toddler issue, unless you can feed them wine or woodworking items.
Thank you for looking into this. I really think they just made a slight error in the code when fixing the food selected from fridges to keep sims from eating ingredients in the recent patch.
It's like they caused servings of food to still be there, but somehow not defined in a way that the code that launches the picker menu understands so it fails to open the picker menu and generates an exception.
At least with this workaround I have been able to go back to interacting with specters. I just offer drinks I made at the bar or woodworking items like statues instead of servings of food.
There's just no point to waste your time on the game right now, it's so broken overall ☹️
I hope you can spend some last beautiful moments with your cat...
