Game progress will no longer be lost when editing/adding/deleting career outfits in Create a Sim.

Hi, everyone.
So, while playing last night, I noticed that I lost progress while actually playing the game. I couldn't figure out what happened, but it rolled back at least 3 or 4 in-game days.
Just before, it happened again. I realized it happened after using the Sims Editor to try and edit the outfits for restaurant employees, as I have the Dine Out expansion. I remembered that this happened in the previous instance as well, as I tried to do the same thing right before the first incident.
I've noticed the Dine Out expansion is relatively buggy. I've edited outfits several times with the changes not being recognized right after finishing. The work around I've been using is to create new outfits, then deleting the ones I don't want. This loss was bigger, to the point where a relationship I made with another Sim was lost and Sims who were previously pregnant are no longer pregnant.
Should I avoid the editor all together, or all Dine Out content, or both? That would really suck, seeing as how I just paid $45 for it...
Update: I just logged back in and it seems that the pregnant Sims are still pregnant, but one of them no longer has any level of romance with the Sim that got them pregnant? What will be the result of the baby being born? The other two pregnant Sims appear to still have the same level of romance they did previously, so I imagine those births will go as normal? This is bizarre.
