I also have the issue that guests in restaurants won‘t stay seated. I noticed it when starting a restaurant in my main save recently and checked it in a new mod-free save today.
I don‘t think it‘s a restaurant issue per se though, but is related to emotions and N.A.P.s. Sims who arrive in player owned restaurants very angry, don‘t stay seated but get up again to find something to vent their anger on (usually the trash cans) while Sims in neighborhoods where the „Promote Creative Arts“ N.A.P. Is active will constantly get up to draw, mold clay or take snapshots, with clay being most popular. If I only visit a restaurant however, they don‘t seem nearly as keen on promoting the creative arts and mostly eat their meals. Aside from restaurants retail stores also suffer from this. In my new save I visited a little store with kitchen and food counter in an area where „Foodies Unite!“ was active and the shop assistants where constantly baking white cakes and littering all the empty counters with them.
In my game this bug has nothing to do with NAPS. It go worse after the Cottage game update. Post update, I had a sim on a date, the date got up, and not only did the average bug of getting up and talking to strangers while his sim date sat alone, but grabbed his plate of food after he was done gabbing and sat Alone on a Couch and ate his food, not talking to any sims, just eating Alone on the Couch. At least he ate his food. It was never this bad in my games before.
I also have the same issue, everyone is walking around instead of sitting and waiting for their orders to be delivered. Happens with active sims, NPCs; no difference. There are way too many other bugs with Dine Out currently, definitely no fun at all…
I agree r dine out it’s a nightmare to use at moment. Did anyone come up with workaround to get them to at least relax and stay at table during meal?
My sims sit down most of the time, but can easily get up and talk to others. When there's finally food, the sim that joined my sim for dinner won't actually eat their food, not even the drink. <_> It's so disappointing.
