[FIXED] [DU] Freezing when enrolling to Uni

    I tested this on my save and it's fine now.

    Is anyone still seeing this issue ?

    The game no longer sometimes freezes when Sims enroll in University. We get that attending University is life-changing, but freezing a game is taking it a bit to extremes.

    Fixed in Patch 1.68.154/ 1.33

@ChemicalPrncess Could you try if repairing your game through Origin does anything for you ?

It still gets stuck and if I try to save or leave the game the character disappears.

    Could you test a fresh save for testing purposes to see if it's save game related or a general issue ?

    OK. Never mind. Mine just froze as well.

    Seems it's the moving process that freezes. When you stay in the house and study from there, it works .. but I know.. dah.

    Might not be a problem for all games

      I have updated with game, origin, and my laptop. Ample space.

      i built up all the hoods and then made my 64x64 lot to perfection - took me all day

      went to play and sims could not interact with computers. Deleted the comps, the desks etc. still no.

      eventually I had to delete it all. I lost EVERYTHING. All my saves - gone.

      cried a little, started to rebuild. 

      decided to start really small - one player - moved her into a prebuilt home, got her into college - tried to move her into the dorm... the screen froze on that. I lost everything again 

      started again and once she got into college I saved. 

      Tried to move her into a dorm... same thing... it freezes. 

      Thankfully I saved but I cannot move into dorms!!!!!!

      help!!!!!

      I JUST REBUILT A HOME AND ONCE AGAIN I CANNOT INTERACT WITH ANY COMPUTER -  EVEN AT COLLEGE!!!!!!

      What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Discover University, Island living, Seasons, Pets, City living, Get together, Realm of Magic, Parenthood, Vampires, Dine out, Tiny living, Laundry Day, Backyard stuff, Kids room, and movie hangout
      Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Enroll a sim in university and move them into a dorm
      What happens when the bug occurs? The game says there is a fatal error and to restart the game, once the game is restarted it still says there is a fatal error, if you ignore the error and continue to play the save file time doesn't work properly or the sim doesn't appear at all and breaks the game.
      What do you expect to see? Sim to work when living in a dorm
      Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
      Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
      Please describe the patch or change you made. Patch 1.63.134.1220

      This has only started happening after the new patch and when they are moved into dorms, doing university from there home lots still works fine.

      Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have one sim household attempt to move to attend University.
      What happens when the bug occurs? I have one sim in a single sim household, currently in Port Promise. I'm attempting to have her move into university housing while accepting a University. After clicking the 'check' on "split from household" screen, the game becomes stuck. It isn't frozen, as I can minimize the window, right click the icon to close, and it'll pull up the "exit game" window, but it will never proceed past the "split from household" screen. After clicking the checkmark to accept new household, I can still click the arrows and move family funds for some reason.
      What do you expect to see? I would expect my household to actually be moved to university housing, instead of being stuck on the split from household screen indefinitely.
      Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
      Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

      I previously had CC installed, however this issue was encountered on an entirely vanilla game with no mods. I've since completely uninstalled the game, removed the entire TS4 directories (from program files and documents), reinstalled the game, updated to latest patch and the issue persists on a fresh install with ZERO custom content or mods.

        Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a one sim household attempt to enroll in a University and move to a University dorm.
        What happens when the bug occurs? I have only one sim in my household, located in Sulani. He was accepted and I decided to enroll. After clicking the 'check' button on the 'split and move' dialog, the game just stays there with the check button disabled. I can click my sim (background turns green), I can click the "sell all" checkbox and move funds. To get out I have to hit ATL+F4 and I get three options: save and exit, just exit and cancel.
        What do you expect to see? I would expect a loading screen and then I would be in my sim's dorm.
        Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No, I don't use mods.
        Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Not Sure 

        This occurred to me for the first time in 1.63.133.1020 (but I didn't try that before this or the previous update), but I also experienced the 109:e56fc6bb error in another save when attempting to load a sim living in a dorm, so I thought it was related and decided to exit without saving and just wait it out. Today I updated to 1.63.136.1010 and decided to give it a try and attempt to enroll and move my sim again, but continued to experience the issue described above.
