[FIXED] [DU] Household Inventory if filled by other sims diplomas
Product: The Sims 4 Platform:PC Which language are you playing the game in? Italiano How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) What is your current game version number? 1.58.63.1010 What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Except Moschino Stuff and Realm of Magic. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I played with two young adult brothers, graduated at Foxbury, different degrees. Once gratuated, I separated them and continued to play with the male brother. What happens when the bug occurs? In the household inventory every day appears a diploma of the sister. It stacks and cannot be deleted. I have 21 diplomas stacked. Also, when I marry/move a npc sim attended the university this sim despite says all the courses (12/12) are completed, didn't get the degree. What do you expect to see? NPC Sims get their degree correctly and the diploma not of my sim should not appear in my household inventory. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Household Inventory if filled by other sims diplomas.
I was using <removed>, Basemental Gangs, Zerbu more selectable icons, Triplis Celebrity Hideout lot trait, Sulani as a Destination world, Calendar Event addons for Dates and DineOut, Kiwiestacie's Hotel mod and the rest are various LittleMsSam mods. Including her 'Purchased ItemsViaMailDelivered.' I suspected it was mod related, but the OP says he's never used mods, so I don't know.
@ninhead1011 I saw that freelance award, too. I just deleted it, because I'm used to seeing random stuff in the family inventory like that.

Select "Manage Worlds" to rotate to a different household. Play new household through a sim day, then check household inventory. You will see the diploma of the sim who graduated in the first household in the 2nd household's inventory. If you rotate though additional households, the diploma will appear there as well. What happens when the bug occurs? The sim who graduated from University will not have a diploma in their household inventory. Instead, there will be a copy of the sim's diploma in every household inventory you rotate though in that save. These diplomas cannot be deleted. I also do not see an option to obtain a diploma for my sim who graduated. What do you expect to see?Sim who graduated from University should have the diploma in their household inventory. I am having no other issues that I can see in the game. The sim who graduated from Uni has the trait that she received a Distinguished Degree in Fine Arts and was able to get a job as Master of the Real. I then rotated to another house in that world (Willow Creek). I played that family for 2 sim days, then rotated to another family in Willow Creek for 2 sim days. Both of these families were couples with one child. After that I rotated to a family in Brindleton Bay, a couple with a teen son and a child daughter. When I was making some changes to their house I noticed the diploma in the household inventory. I placed it on the wall, hovered over it, and it had the name of my sim who had graduated. I couldn't delete it, and when I tried reloading the house, there was a 2nd, and then a 3rd diploma in the inventory.
I made sure to "save as" so that I could keep this save separate, and rotated back to the two other families in Willow Creek, one at a time. They had the first sim's diploma in their household inventory too. None of these sims have attended either of the universities. Only my first sim, and she does not have a diploma in her inventory at all.
Sorry, Crinrict. I posted another thread about this, I didn't realize there was this one. Searching just wasn't my strong point today. Will you merge it with this one for me?
I am having the same issue others mentioned. The diploma shows up in the household of every house I rotate through, except for the household of my sim who graduated! She got that weird freelancer reward instead. I can provide a save, but it probably won't be until later tomorrow, as I'll need to go to work. I've been playing a vanilla game for years now, no mods and no CC.
I'm having the same issue: multiple diplomas in household inventories, can't delete them. I have been getting a last exception notification from MCCC and the last exception file says something about diploma creation. I removed all my mods and the last exception is still produced. Seems to be a Discover University bug, not an issue with mods. I'm starting a new save and will avoid University for the time being.
I saw someone post that their sim was living at home when this happened. My sim was, too. My other sims who did not suffer this bug lived in dorms or Uni housing. It seems the trigger might be earning a degree while living at home?
@Steinman891So your sim was still in Uni housing when they graduated? (The sim who earned the diploma that duplicates.)
