    Students will no longer autonomously taunt each other about University Superiority unless they're at the Game Day organization event or have one of these traits: Childish, Evil, Hot-Headed, and Bro.

    Fixed in Patch 1.59.73

I was having this problem too. It was driving me bonkers because my sims were just destroying their relationship consistently. But I found that a way to get rid of this problem is just make them have gone to the same school.

My male sim went to Foxbury and my female went to Britechester, so I just made him get a degree from Britechester as well. It seems to have gotten rid of the option to make them taunt each other. 

I chose to just cheat to give him the degree. It worked for me! Hopefully this helps someone. ♥
