Hello all,
I have different sims taking up Cottage Living NPC positions. For example, Michael Bell is supposed to be the Critter Keeper but he was replaced by someone else.
Apparently only Cottage Living NPCs are switched out with other Sims. NPCs from Stangertown, Eco Living, Get Famous and HSY remain the same.
This is what I did step by step (with the help of mod):
1) Download these mods and copy into your folder: Pimp My Sims' Get To Church, Zero's Assign NPC Job and XML Injector.
2) Download also mod Simvasion Village NPC fix but do not copy into your folder (wait till step 6)
3) Take a Sim and invite these people to the church gathering; Sarah Scott, Agnes Crumplebottom, Agatha Crumplebottom, Kim Goldbloom, Lavina Chopra, Michael Bell.
4) When in the venue, immediately end the church gathering. Then shift left click and make sure the Cottage Living NPCs have their respective roles (Ie Michael Bell as the Critter Keeper)
5) Exit and save the game.
6) Remove Zero's Assign NPC Job and XML Injector out from the mod folder and put Simvasion Village NPC fix into the mod folder.
7) Enter the game again, go to Manage Household and remove the random sims taking up NPC roles.
Above steps should help to maintain the roles of these original Sims as the Cottage Living's NPCs.
PS I notice Agnes and Agatha's duplicates are the exact same. I reckon you could modify their hairstyle or skin tone in CAS to extinguish them, invite the duplicates to join your household and remove them thereafter.
