I'm having the same issue. Even after the most recent update, it's still an issue. The very last step "Send your finished work to the client" will say I completed it in the notification pop up but will not highlight yellow and close out the gig as completed.

I made two rugs, sent them both to the client via the sim's laptop freelance option, and it shows sent via the notifications in the upper left-hand corner of the game but doesn't highlight the "Send your finished work to the client" under "Tasks" in yellow and doesn't check it off as completed.
This is my Sim's very first and only gig in the Freelance career.
My sim did not craft anything for this gig.
This is a new sim I'm using and a new save.
I've done it with previous sims and saves, same thing happens.
Each time she crafts the rug to send to the client. The notification says, "The finished fabrication can be found in the household inventor."
When I choose on the laptop, "Freelancer..." and "Send to Client". I get the notification message, " Dashing! This is exactly what we are looking for. Keep up the great work, Raina." [Raina is my Sim's name]
So the notification is noticing it as the rug being sent out to the client but it is not noticing it as completed in the Career Tab in the game.
I have no CC on my game.
I'm running the game on a self-built PC.
OS: Windows 10
Please let me know if you need any more info. I'm letting this one go past the due date and cancel itself out, instead of me clicking on the trash button to cancel it myself.
