[FIXED] [ECO] Power turned off due to Squirrel warning and never turned back on

    • After enforcing regulations with the Landgraab Power Company, power on a Sim's lot will no longer be unexpectedly shut off when bills are paid in full.

    Fixed in Patch 1.106.148/1.91

    Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issue,

@crinrict if you click "Of Course!" the power is not shut off, they say it's just a test and they give you a bill discount, which avoids this issue.

If you click "Prepared?" you receive a stressed buff which lasts for 8 hours and tied to that is a power shutoff action. When the buff runs out, it triggers the power to turn on again. I think you have to be actively playing on the lot where the power is cut for it to restore the power. If you have your sim travel away or you switch households and the buff disappears while you aren't there, I think this might be what causes the issue where the power never returns?

      I don't remember whether I left my lot during the 8 hours or not because there is nothing in the game that suggests when exactly the power will be coming back on.  I will say that several days later, the power was still off.  Moving my household off the lot did not fix the issue.  That particular lot where I answered "Prepared?" was permanently a powerless lot.  I tried repairing game files and that did not fix my issue.  I ended up just starting a new save.

        @purplebloon2 I got the same issue. I ended up setting the lot as "off the grid", went to Live mode for a moment, then turned "off the grid" off again, and power was back like normal.

    Is there a cheat code to add the stressed buff?

      I am also stuck in that no power returning loop.  When I open my game, i have power.  When i visit another lot and return, no power.  If I save and then reload, power is back.  At least until I go visit someone again.

        I've only gotten this popup on off-the-grid lots, at which point I laugh maniacally and say, "Nancy, I'm off the grid, shut off my power any time!"  IOW "Of course." 

        Note to self:  Only answer "Of course" whether on the grid or off.

    This exact issue has happened to me. I’ve added solar panels to my sims house but they still have no power. I’ve tried not paying the bills and travelling to and from the lot and it is still broken.
