[FIXED] [ECO] Stacking Lighting/Aurora

I had the same issue. This was the main reason why I had to disable the Eco Lifestyle pack. It made the game unplayable for me.

For everyone not opposed to mods

Google:

2. (you need an account there to download but it's free)

3. Put in the search bar in downloads: basemental eco

I am also having this problem, only in my most recent save which is strange. I only have 1 green neighborhood so I dont think its an issue of compounding green neighborhoods. Any help with fixing it would be great or at least some acknowledgement of the issue by EA. I am happy to provide save file, just let me know if it is necessary. Thanks.

UPDATE: My game seems to have fixed the issue, although it was a strange process. Same lot and family and eco foot print, BUT I made 10 different "save as" games of the original to work on building them a new house. Please dont ask why I made 10 different ones, I couldn't decide what to build. But anyway on the 10th game the lighting blow out was gone, nothing had changed other than it being a new "save as" game, number 10 to be precise and Im happy its gone. I just wish I knew what changed to fix it more consistently. I have a pic but its too large to post so yeah, sorry about that.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Aura/Polar Light in sunny daylight causes server frame rate lagging of the game. All interaction delay and sims motion are choppy, clicking respond delays too.

What do you expect to see? The Polar light should be nicely transparent as appear in the snow weather
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

1stly, below are my laptop info and the game setting

Explaining the problem in the game:

The pictures above shows normal beautiful polar light in a windy snow weather and the light cause no issue in my game. However during the sunny day in any season, I've Seasons EP, these phenomenons happens

From Top to bottom: Midaytime, dusk period, view above my in-play sim's residence and last two are views from ground level. All of my in game frame rates not only drops also my game's respond to in put command delays because of the Aura-light. I have to pause constantly to proceed the game which is tediously slow.

Other Worlds from different EP has no such issue like above, only in the Harbour City where I finally turn polluted city into green city. Ironic that I've negative consequence above for doing a good deed. ~sigh~

Let me know if the Devs need my save file.

Curiously asking have you travel the neighbouring lot in the same world to see if the problem repeats? I try, travelling to neighbouring lot, no such glitch happens. Only happens to the In-play Lot.

I am having the same problem. Sometimes it desapears though, and then reappear. It is pretty annoying and make it nearly impossible to play on your own home lot, as it is only at the home lots it appears...Please get it fixed soon...

I'm getting a very similar experience on Chateau Peak, the lightrays are crippling the performance of my laptop. when i zoom out it is literally impossible to see anything but these stacked lightrays and the whole laptop slows to a crawl. When zoomed in to avoid most of the rays being drawn into the image, i'm lucky to see 15 fps.

There are moments the rays stop and start back up and in those moments the performance increases back above 30fps and the laptop fans aren't working overtime on cooling. I don't want to disable the pack, but it would be nice if the environmental effects like light rays and smog can be toggled on or off instead without affecting any of the dlc mechanics.

I have the exact same glitch. I had it first in Glimmerbrook and I thought it was the map, but I moved with the household to Windenburg and it happened there again. Also all roomates are molding clay every day and making de-stressing decotions, like 30 in a row, one is playing lovesongs on her guitar everytime a neighbour visits and then she is sad and cries. My lot is very eco-friendly. Idk if its because of that but suddenly I couldn't have any access to the lot anymore. But to others I have access. I could enter in build mode but not in gameplay mode anymore.
