[FIXED] Error Code: 102:6ee24dd4 - Corrupted relationship

    Users, whose save files became corrupted after running into “error code 102:6ee24dd4” or “error code 109:1bfa931d”, should find the issue no longer occurring. This is a retroactive fix, and saves that were corrupted should once again be available to load.

    Fixed in Patch 1.58.69

    Your saves will be fixed. No need to do anything further

Information and Questions about this issue

The error seems to be caused by a corrupt relationship between two (or more Sims). It doesn't affect all household but only those where one or more Sims are in the corrupted relationship

It seems to work to delete the relationship between the Sims but I'm unsure if there are any further side effects or not.

All suggestions given here are done at your own risk. Make a backup of the corrupted save so you can go back there if the fix doesn't work properly and EA fixes the issue and you want to go back.

You will also need a mod to fix this. Haven't found a possibility without. You can either use twistedMexis AllCheatFix  or MCCC (you just need the base mod)

Fix with MCCC

The fix is a bit complicated so please let me know if you have any questions. As time allows (if EA doesn't' fix this fast) I will make instructions with pictures in my blog, just don't currently have the time for that.

  1. Backup your user folder
  2. Put MCCC (you only need the base mod) in your mods folder and make sure you have cc and script mods turned on
  3. Start the game
  4. Find any households that don't load and write down the names of the Sims in those households.
  5. Load one household that still loads
  6. Travel with one sim of that household to any of the lots with the households that don't load
  7. Click on the Sims that live in that household (one after the other) and choose: MC Command Center - Relationships - Delete Relationship, then choose the first Sim that has been in the households that didn't load. 
  8. Repeat for all Sims in those households.
  9. If other Sims had relationship among each other that are not covered by 7 and 8, you need to click on the next Sim and also delete the relationship. You only need to delete relationship from A to B, the relationship from B to A will automatically be deleted so that should be covered.
  10. Once you have done that, save the game under a new name and go back to Manage World
  11. Try loading all your households. It should work now
  12. If you had other relationships then household members, you will need to reset them again via either MCCC (Add relationship) or via CAS if they are in the same household.

Fix with AllCheats Mod

I didn’t test this solution but it should work.

  1. Download the current version of  .
  2. Start the game and load a household that is not affected.
  3. Turn on testingcheats with testingcheats true.
  4. Find the ID of all affected Sims with  sims.get_sim_id_by_name <FirstName> <LastName>. Write those down in a text file as you will need them later multiple times. You’ll be glad you can just c/p from the text file.
  5. Delete the corrupted relationships with relationship.destroy yoursimID targetsimID
  6. Save your game under a new name and try to load the previously affected households. They should now load. If not, try to find if there’s other corrupted relationships.
  7. All relationships between the Sims are now set to household member. This means that any relatives or husband – wife relationship will be deleted by this and your Sim may now have wrong ones.
  8. If you had such relationships you can now re-add them with either CAS  (Cheat: cas.fulleditmode on) or with relationship.add_bit <yoursimID> <targetsimID> <relationshipBit>. relationshipBit has one of the following values
    • romantic-Married
    • family_husband_wife
    • family_grandchild
    • family_son_daughter
    • family_brother_sister
    • family_grandparent
    • family_parent

    Attempted to fix with MCCC. I'm not able to get past step 6. When I try to delete the relationship, I get an error message from MCCC.

        It just says an error is logged in mc_cmd_center.log. When I open it, this is what it says:

    1. Yes, I own DU.
    2. My Sim was living in her own home in BC and she had a roommate.
    3. The affected Sims were my Sim, a Student at BC, and Penny Pizzazz in SM. These were the only Sims I was playing in my test game.
    4. The error occurred when my Sim was traveling home from attending Graduation followed by "hanging out" at the Commons with Penny and then going to a soccer game alone. She got on her bike to go home.
    5. Barring the occasional lag and reset glitch, I don't remember anything unusual. 

    Deleting relationships with MCCC fixed load error. 

    Adding: My Sim and Penny were the only Sims that had a "relationship" with the NPC roommate.

    Having the same 102:6ee24dd4:4e6f578f issue with my legacy save... PC, no mods or CC.

    • Do you all own DU ? Yep!
    • Did you move DU room mates to one of the old worlds ? I moved my playable sims out of their university house and back to their hometown in Newcrest.
    • Were the affected Sims all room mates at Uni ? The sims were a couple, no room mates. Both attended different universities and graduated on the same day. They lived by themselves in a house in the Uni world. 
    • Did one of your Sims graduate after the error occurred ? Both of the sims had just recently graduated.
    • Anything unusual happening ? When I moved them out and back into their family's home, I could play them, but the mentioned couple kept glitching/t-posing instead of WooHoo, and had their 'first kiss' when they got married. I only got the error when the sim's sister went to travel to another lot. I recovered an older save, played them to graduation and moved them out again, this time to their own lot without merging a family together. I'm instantly met with this error now and unable to load them properly.

    I'm playing the Best of Friends household in Britechester. It's the end of the term and I'm trying to move them into different University housing. The game makes you re-enroll and move them one at a time. Becca comes up first, and when I re-enroll her and move her to the new housing, I get the error code when the game tries to load the new household with just Becca in it, in the new housing. 

    I've tried the MCCC cheat several different times, and it doesn't work. One problem I encounter when I attempt it, is that when I go to a household that loads and try to visit the lot Becca is in, I get the error code. I can't even visit in order to delete any relationships.

    On the times where I am able to visit Becca on the troubled lot, I deleted just her relationship with the former roommate/household member, but I still get the error code. I've also tried deleting all her relationships to everyone, and that doesn't work either. 

    I don't know if I'm doing something wrong (re: the MCCC fix), but as of now, DU isn't playable.

    Edited again to add, I even tried deleting the relationship between the two roommates/household members before the move occurs (I have a game save that's before the end of the term), and that didn't work either.

    Just commenting to say that I had the error, did the MCCC fix on the first page, and that fixed it for me!

    Context:

    1. Do you all own DU? Yep.
    2. Did you move DU roommates to one of the old worlds? Kinda no? The sim was a student in the other university (mine Foxbury, his Britechester) but when they married it said he had no household. Not sure where he moved from but I'm assuming the Britechester dorms. They live in the Honeydew Fields house in the Britechester world, though.
    3. Were the affected Sims all room mates at Uni? Nope.
    4. Did one of your Sims graduate after the error occurred? Kinda. The error occurred right when I force graduated him. 
    5. Anything unusual happening? It happened right after he had the perpetual graduation bug, I used All Cheats Mod to force graduate him and that worked, but as soon as he returned home the game crashed. Since I used the MCCC fix nothing unusual has yet to happen.

      Weird. My Sims moved out to that same house. I wonder if that has anything to do with the glitch.

    Sort of. My sim lived in a dorm room. I moved her out to Oasis Springs with her boyfriend. Had them travel to Sulani after her boyfriend graduated and it would not load.

    No, they weren’t roommates at Uni

    1. Did one of your Sims graduate after the error occurred ?

    One sim graduated right before error occurred.

    Only thing unusual is getting a last exception error from MCCC. I tried to fix it before this error happened but I cannot find what mods/cc were causing this. All mods were updated at the time and did the 50/50 method several times with cc to try to figure it out. Error still happens after removing all mods/cc.

    editing to add:

    I also tried having the household that won’t load move in with a household that will load. If I shift+click and add to family, the sim won’t show up as one of my household, but if I shift+click again, it gives me the option to “remove from household.” If I try to do it without cheats (just asking to move in), it comes up with the split household window. I’ll try to add the household that won’t load, but then it will freeze once I hit the check mark.

        Were the affected Sims all room mates at Uni? No. They were Sims from other families I'd made.
        Did one of your Sims graduate after the error occurred? She graduated about 2 days before it happened.
        Anything unusual happening? Other than not being able to play those households, no.

        This is really annoying and I'm not willing to download mods to correct something that should be working in the first place, especially when there are potential unknown consequences and also as someone who doesn't use mods. Also wouldn't enjoy having to go through the entire process of deleting relationships and reconnecting them with a corrupted Sim every time this happens (because there is still a chance it will happen again and again.)

        This is such a massive blunder on EA's part and should have been picked up before DU release/before the patch. I hope they release a patch for this soon because otherwise I'm just not going to play Sims 4. I don't want any of my other Sims corrupted.

    I have the same error message.

    I own DU. 

    Prior to the error, I was having unusual difficulty with glitches with my Sims. Both Sims (one sim created, the other Lilith Pleasant) attend university and the created Sim is working FT. My created Sim goes to work while the Lilith is on Foxbury campus and it registers the working Sim as going to class and not doing well (even though they are at work and not going to class)

    When I got the error code, I was moving my two Sims from the university lot to their house in the Britechester community. For one Sim, I clicked on the House icon in her thumbnail and sent her home. The other sim I sent via Travel to... with the other Sim I had just sent home. 

    The affected Sims are roommates at an off-campus house in Britechester. Lilith Pleasant had just graduated, I spent a couple of Sim hours at the commons and then sent both home then the error occurred.

    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It happens every time after I get the diploma in my inventory.
    What happens when the bug occurs? I save the file like I always do, but when I charge it again I cannot access this household anymore. (I can access to other households in the world though) and I get a message ( check attached file)
    What do you expect to see? That my family runs like always.
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    In the beginning, I thought it was because of my pregnant sim who was going to the law department for her law career, but I noticed after several trials that the bug always happens after Cameron Fletcher ( who became my sim's husband ) goes back home and get his diploma in his inventory. ( they are not living on the Foxbury campus ) but have their own house on another lot. I don't use any mods on the lot or on Fletcher either (but his wife does have some cc make up) 

    If necessary I can give the file before the bug and after the bug.

      I keep getting it right after the distinguished degree.

      I followed the instructions for the MCCC and it did not work! ☹️

      I also keep regenerating the last exception folders as well.

    I tested the issue twice and I have been able to play the same file through a recovered file. I am positive that the issue is with the graduation of the distinguished degree. I DO NOT have any mods/cc, cache, and the local thumbnail as well.

       I put my last exception file in the xmlprettypink thing and this is what it says. Does anything stand out?

    2. Did you move DU room mates to one of the old worlds ? Once my sim I had been playing in DU graduated, I moved her to San Myshuno and had her boyfriend, who was still in University, move in with her. 

    3. Were the affected Sims all room mates at Uni ? Yes.

    4. Did one of your Sims graduate after the error occurred ? Both sims had graduated from University. One was two sim days before the error.

    5. Anything unusual happening ? Before the error happened, the game was going much slower than normal. After the glitch happened and I opened another family, which loaded without the error. I took one of the household members to another lot, and noticed that I wasn't able to bring other household members to that lot as well. Which was odd. I have since tried to repair the game multiple times, with no luck.

    6. Did one of the Sims not get their Uni grade ? Yes. 

    I attempted the relationship clearing cheat with no luck on two different saves. I saw that there was as suggestion to do that mod, however, I have never downloaded a mod and have no idea how to. Any sort of tip of other things I could try would be great. The family that got corrupted I have been playing on the lineage line for over 3 years now.
