Any update on a fix on our gallery profiles?
With the update a few months ago:
- I lost all of my 3k+ followers, all my followed and no news feed is available to keep in touch with followers.
- My downloads, which were in the several 100's of thousands, are now a total mystery.
- I lost the maxis favorite status of over 10 builds, which had 5k-100k+ downloads each (only 1 shows up now - see screenshot also shows broken description)
- My new uploads are getting extremely low download counts, 1-2 a day when previously I would have 100s.
- Some of my gallery shares now have bugs in the description, including changed room sizes, lot sizes & lot values of $999,999,999. (see screenshot)
As a 46 yr old completionism simmer, I have spent thousands of dollars on the Sims. I have played since the first version of the game, before Sims 4 kits (clothing kits are useless for me as a builder) I have purchased every DLC (I even still have 100s of points available to spend on the Sims 3 store I had planned to use as gifts to others), not to mention all the SimCity games and every other old Maxis Sim type game. I founded a build request team which I ran for over 5 years with over 10 other creators working with me, and ran prize challenges in which I gave away additional Sims products I purchased. I spent over a decade building up a following. I am now very unwilling to play the game anymore, let alone make another purchase until this problem is resolved.
I am a builder, the gallery and profile is a vital part of being able to share those builds and thank those who comment or download my creations. I cannot connect to share via Twitter because the EA app incorrectly says my login is wrong. I can connect just fine through my browser. There is no way that those 3000+ simmers will be able to see anything I create anymore or be able to communicate with me unless I use a 3rd party app or forums, of which they are not all following me on. Besides, that is just too much time to spend on building up a whole new platform for people to find my creations when the easiest solution would be to fix the gallery profiles of those of us who have been affected by these bugs. Sure, I can build for myself just for the fun of creating. I do that all the time anyway, but what is the point of the gallery anymore if it is bugged to the point of being virtually unusable? Why has this only seemed to happen to a small number of people yet is not fixed yet? I am very disappointed that it has been 2 months since the problem was even acknowledged and we have heard nothing since then.
