@EA_Cade can this be a temporary solution? I have been having the same issue but when I discovered a temp fix, I didn't share it, so since so many are still having issues I will now share.
I do need to say that I never used to minimize my game ever, unless something was not functioning correctly so some time back I just changed from Fullscreen to Windowed. Windowed was the only setting that allowed me to minimize the game.
I have no Mods or CC in my game- not in the past 4 years anyway. If it didn't come directly from EA it is not in my game!
Expansion Packs: Growing Together, Cottage Living, Snowy Escape, Discover University, Island Living, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get together, Get to work
Games Packs: My Wedding Stories, Dream Home Decorator, Strangerville, Dine Out, Outdoor Retreat, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Spa Day.
Stuff packs: Home Chef Hustle, Nifty Knitting, Moschino, Toddler, Bowling night, Backyard, Romantic Garden, Spooky, Perfect Patio, Tiny Living, Laundry Day, Fitness, vintage Glamour, Kids Room, Movie Hangout, cool Kitchen, Luxury Party.
My dxdiag and picture of setting that is the only one that will minimize in my game. I do not have any saves to share.
EDIT: forgot to say that fullscreen and fullscreen windowed not minimizing did coinside with the release of the reaper event.
Off the wall: I rarely go in my game settings- when did they put the option of DX9?
