Well, @crinrict it's no longer an issue because I had to reinstall from scratch because of a problem with my laptop. With the new install I don't have the bug :D

I read your comment and went on to try to plant on the ground in another lot, so I started playing with the Goth Family and I wasn''t able to select the option plant from the inventory, but when I placed the fruit on the ground it gave the option to plant. That was on the Goth family lot, so that must mean the bug is in the lot where the family I created is currently at.
I can't remember the name and I changed it when I moved my family in, but I can tell you it's the lot in front of "Crick Cabana".
This can't be solution, changing my family from that lot. 😕mileysad: I hope there's something else we can do.

I am having a problem growing just flowers in the game, I can place fruit, veg and herbs with the option to plant and grow them all with no problem but when I try to plant a flower there is never the option. I can only clck to drag and replace, there is no other option or pie menu.
I have max gardening level.
Would greatly appreciate any help with this problem as I cannot plant a lily or a snapdragon to grow a death flower

I'm having exactly the same problem. It is only flowers that can't be panted. When I click on them, no choices pop up at all regardless of whether they are in the inventory, a planter, on the ground or near or far away from anything else. I didn't have the problem until I installe Outdoor Retreat and am wondering if it has something to do with the addition of the option to eat harvestables. Maybe if flowers were not intended to be eated something in the coding is preventing the options menu from popping up at all. I don't know. I was hoping the Feb 3 update would fix it but it ididn't. I do use mods but I removed them all, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still couldn't plant flowers. It's bugging me, too, because it doesn't just make growing a death flower impossible, it's impossible to complete the plants collection.

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

Thank you so much for this recommendation. I found the problem. For anyone else having the same problem, the culprit in my game was a mod called "FridgeStoresAllHarvests" from Mod the Sims. When I checked, that mod was indeed updated for Outdoor Retreat. Thanks!
plant shows as a possible option for me but it's not clickable
this issue was fixed.
Are you using any mods/cc in your game ? If not, please create a new thread. If so, please remove your custom content/mods.
