Fixed the issue with the Actor Career where Sims were unable to complete their gig when they would travel and return home before it was time for the gig.
Fixed in Patch 1.63.13

I've had this same problem except my sim doesn't travel. They will go to the audition, pass, and come home. I have them do everything they need to do for the gig. date and time of the gig comes and goes but I never get the notification that the gig is in an hour and my sim never gets the prompt to go to the gig at all. shows in the calendar that they're busy that day but nothing ever happens... I've tried using different sims, restarting my game, cancelling gigs, nothing seems to work

@Psychotps As other careers don't have this Gig thing actor has, it would def. nee it's own thread.
For anyone where not travelling/not shutting down the game (basically you can't have any loading screens of any kind during the period) doesn't work, please send me your saves (I can't test console saves though)

So I just bought Sims 4 Get Famous pack and I had my sim become an actor. My sim can go to the auditions and can pass it. Once i get a gig, I dont get a popup/phone call to go to work, nothing. I've tried switching talent agency's and a week passes by and it still says the same date to work. Is this a glitch I can fix or just part of the game?
I tried to switch talent agencies too and no luck. I partially switched too because the agency kept telling my sim how bad she was haha!
P.S. I tried to create a whole new thread for this issue but when I went to post it would not let me. Anyone feel free to create a whole new thread so EA knows there is a new glitch with the Acting Career.
Haven't yet had the time to try the work-around, but I noticed something odd:
While playing a different household in the same town, the pop-up about the other households audition came up.
I just downloaded get famous, and I'm doing the acting career and now my sim is doing exactly what yours is! I cant go to auditions, and sometimes I can, but it wont pop up for the gig! What the heck!!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? put a sim into the acting career, send them to an audition, and they wont go to their gigs afterwards.
What happens when the bug occurs? my sim goes to their auditions, but they wont go to their gigs and i dont get a reminder an hour before she's supposed to go. it worked the first time, but none after that. when i hover over the career symbol, it also says "work in 0 hours"
What do you expect to see? i want my sim to be able to go to their gigs, and maybe add a button that makes them go to work, like all the other careers and jobs have.

ive noticed this happened when the pack first came out as well, so it might be from an update, im not sure.
I have no modes no cc, just the game with the expansion packs. My actor is a global superstar will get the audition but get no alert or option to go to the gig the day of the event. What should I do? How can I contact EA directly?

I just downloaded the expansion pack Get Famous and created a new sim. He started his acting career and in the beginning it was working just fine, but now every time he has a new audition, he can’t go there. For example he has an audition at 9 a.m on Sunday, but he doesn’t move and I can’t force him to go to work. He does absolutely nothing, it’s like he doesn’t have anything to do.
i don’t know if this is a common bug or if anyone has ever had it too

I'm having this same issue. It didn't start until I updated my game with the new patch.
Im playing the sims 4 and my character is an actor (global superstar) and when he passes the audition phase and gets a gig, I get no alert and no option for me to join or send alone. Please help
Same here. I followed previous posts about this issue in the past; I repaired the game, got my sim to cancel her audition, and then got another gig. She went to her audition fine, got a gig again, and then the same problem happened.
She was on her lot, doing nothing, waiting, but she didn't go. There was no hour warning notification and when it reached the time to go to work, nothing happened. When I hovered over the career icon on the right hand side, it kept telling me the gig was due in '0 minutes', even half an hour (in sim time) later.
I hope this issue is resolved soon, or that there is a workaround found. I desperately want to play my game out how I had planned but I can't when it's not working properly. I am so grateful that the prep tasks now stay completed when you go to a gig, but perhaps the new fix on that in the update has triggered this bug?
My sim character goes to the audition ( by herself) get's the gig, Now I prepare her for th gig, but when the time comes I don't get the window and question with "Want to go along with your sim to her work?" Just nothing happens and the gig stays there left to collect dust?
I tried restarting the game, I even changed with another agency bureau. but each time my sim does not go to the gig.
I don't have any mods. Help please?
My Sim hasn't been able or given option to join work since EA fixed the 3 must do's for work as an Actress......I took out my Mods folder completely, so that is not the problem...please help me!! Thank you.

What happens when the bug occurs? the sim doesn't go to work at all and there is no way to force the sim to go to work.
What do you expect to see? The sim goes to work on time and there should be a choice for whether the player wants to go to the shooting site with the sim or not.

The bald girl is an actor. She is bald because I removed all mods. The right-bottom corner shows the work starts from Tuesday 12:00 and the time at the bottom of the screen shows it is already Tuesday 12:07. I didn't get any notification showing that she should go to work.
if I click on her, I can only open the umbrella (from Seasons), change the clothes (from get together), practice singing (from city living), go jogging (from base game), and show off money (from get famous). The last two are gray because it is too cold outside and the sim doesn't have enough money to show off. There is no choice for asking the sim to work.
I just found out that there was another post about this bug. I didn't find a way to delete this post but if you face similar problem, maybe you should check the link below.
I came here to report the same thing. I keep cancelling gigs and trying to rebook and see if THOSE go through but so far nothing has worked. I noticed that this started to happen with the first update. Additionally I have also been having issues where the prepared tasks for the gig disappear once you get on the lot. Hope this gets fixed soon, the acting career is my fave.
