Actor prep tasks will no longer reset on traveling.
- This is the second travel issue in the game… was it trying to tell us something?

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions except University, all game packs, just Patio Stuff pack.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you pass an audition and schedule a gig, the prep tasks show up as normal. My sim will complete all the prep tasks and I'll join her to her gig, and when I open the career tab the prep tasks are labeled as "not started" even though I finished all of them beforehand.
What happens when the bug occurs? Since all of the prep tasks were erased and marked as "not started", the sim performs worse during the gig.
What do you expect to see? If the prep tasks were marked as "complete" they should stay "complete" when you join your sim on a gig.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I have this issue on PC, too. It's really frustrating because when I go to film, all the prep tasks reset, so I can't complete the acting aspiration because my performances aren't as good.
I just ran a test and it looks like I also have the bug of prep tasks being reset on travel. My test Sim, Karly Conrad, Completed her prep work before the gig. I joined her at work and immediately paused the game to check the prep tasks and, sure enough, they were back to Not Started.
I suggest doing the prep tasks after you arrive on set until this bug is fixed. Karly had time to develop her guitar skill by practicing guitar for about 30 minutes. She followed that up by introducing herself to the Director and doing several interactions which develop charisma (Get To Know, Heartfelt Compliment, Brighten Day, and Compliment Outfit). That was enough to reach Completed for both prep tasks, so she went on to work her way through the job tasks, told the Director she was ready, and did the Risky option for all her performance tasks. Karly finished with a Gold performance for her first gig and made it home with an hour and ten minutes to spare.

That works only in the early stages of the career, when usually there are just two task to complete, both centred on developing the sim's skills.
That doesn't last long: the tasks gets most sophisticated as you climb the ranks of the career, and they increase in number (from 2 to 3). Usually one out of three still concerns skills' building, but the other two asks for interactions with coworkers (actors, crew, director) and/or finding "emotions" within the sim.
Both of this type of tasks cannot be completed on set, the game simply never allowed it, even before the bug. So in the end, if you're lucky you get to compete one of the three tasks (the bug doesn't "read" maxed out skills, so even if your sims is a ten in one particularly skill they still need to dance around as if they weren't), but one out of three tasks will make your sims fail the risky interactions, and at the same time is not enough to reach gold without risky interactions. You see where I'm going with this.
Result: You can forget to get gold any time soon, sweety.
me too. He does his prep work, when he leaves the home lot, it's gone. That includes going to the studio to do the gig. Hope it gets fixed soon, I love this pack.
