i have this issue too! it takes sometimes over 4 sim hours to get it right and then my sim runs out of time to preform ☹️ ruins the whole experience
I've been having this problem a lot lately. I just sent my sim to her gig and I decided to try putting her into hair and makeup first. The gig started at 7pm, she was still trying to get her hair and makeup done at 3am when the gig ended. She's jumping up every time he makes a mess and I have to start the whole thing over again. He gets the makeup wrong, I start again, he gets the makeup right but the hair wrong, I have to start from makeup again but then he gets the make up wrong. This went on the entire time. I couldn't do any of the other jobs let alone complete the filming.

I am new to the game and so am unfamiliar with how to remove bugs/install patches.

@Lucinda354 As far as removing bugs go, you will have to wait for the developers of the game to remove them in patches. For patches, you don't have to do anything special. Whenever there's a new patch, there will be a banner over the Sims 4 icon in your Origin library saying "new update." Just click on the icon and click install.
There is also no official solution for this bug. If you're encountering it, first try what the other people in this post have suggested. If that does not work, you may have to wait for a new patch that will fix the bug. I hope this helps!
