So I went back to the son's household to see if his milestones are still there, and they're all gone as well. He lost all infant, toddler, child, and teen milestones, and also lost at least one young adult milestone for reaching the top of his career after he graduated uni. I definitely did not visit his house with his family, but he did come to visit his parents and sister on his own. Is there another thread about generally losing milestones during rotational play? The only other thread regarding losing milestones that I had found was the one that was fixed in the latest patch.
Did you transfer him from the household before or after the latest update? I know the fix was for transferring sims between households.

That patch was on 5/30, right? I'm pretty sure my sim moved out after the patch, but it's possible I'm misremembering. I believe though that it was within the last two weeks that I had gotten him set up to go to uni. Of course I wasn't really checking milestones while he was going to school, so I can't say for sure whether it happened when I moved him out, or if it was after I had switched back to play his sister. I may start a new save just to test a few milestones and see if it happens again.

I'm not sure either. Apparently people had milestones resetting after moving sims in/out of households, which the latest patch fixed. If your sim had his milestones reset even after the patch, it could be something else. I have only really noticed it resetting with families who I visited with one family and then switched to. I transfer my sims out of households (usually making a multiple families in one household and splitting them up after loading in game), but I haven't had issues of the milestones resetting.
Now I saw someone reply on the previous post about 10 in-game days they switched to another family and the milestones reset, but I don't know if it was due to them visiting that family with another before switching. I really hope that was the case and not some other form of this bug where milestones are resetting.

This is happening to me too! I’m a console player, and i play rotational play as i have loads of different families. I have noticed that whenever i go to play a different family my infant sims are back to square one again when they were crawling and now they can’t even sit up. I have infants on 2 of my rotational play households and this has happened to both of them. Its really frustrating as i have put a lot of my hard earned money into this game that i love to play and it just doesn’t work! How do we tell EA to fix it?

So I did a test save... got my family off of the gallery and moved them into a brand new save file. The two kids still had all of their infant, toddler, and child milestones. I played the family all together up to the point where I got the oldest ready to go to university, then created a brand new save before having him move out into the dorms. Right after he moved out, I went back into his parents' household to check their milestones, and they are now all missing. He hadn't come to visit them, and hadn't traveled anywhere with them either, this was immediately after he moved out into the dorm. I may have to keep my kids at home to go to uni if the family will lose milestones like this, which is a shame cause I like having my sims stay in the dorms.
Has anyone else noticed this happening when their sim moves out for uni? Does this issue need a new report submitted?

@adgentqt I have not moved any sims to uni, so I have not experienced this. It could be another occasion of the sims moving bug out that they fixed? It may be too different to add to this initial report, so I'm thinking it might require a report of its own? I don't know if this is the best way to do it, but last time the thread was closed and only fixed what was in the initial report although it had other cases as well. I would like to see all milestones bugs get fixed!
Meanwhile you could maybe move your sim out first and send them to uni dorm from the new household?
