[FIXED] Group Cooking: Sims just stands around

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.77.131.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get together, discover university, get famous, dine out, movie night stuff, spa day, parenthood, cats and dgos, seasons, get to work,
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you try out group cooking. If you try to cook with a family member.
What happens when the bug occurs? I've tried this a few times but every time I try to cook a meal together with another family member, one of them just takes out a bowl or some cooking gadgets and just stands there while the other sim cooks the whole meal. Pretty sure they're supposed to cook together and not let only one of them do the job? Or is it because they have different cooking skill levels?
What do you expect to see? Both of the sims should cook and then form a whole meal in the end. If it cooking together they should cook together and not let just one of the sims cook while the other one just stands there.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    Um, wasn’t this supposed to be a group activity? When doing Group Cooking, all Sims will now participate.

    Fixed in Patch 1.106.148/1.91

    @oonanor I'm having this issue too, I'm in a house with more than enough counters and the kitchen is big enough for both sims to fit comfortably inside to cook together.
    The only thing that springs to my mind is that somehow MOO is interfering with the countertops, but I'm playing in a premade house where MOO wasn't used, to my knowledge anyway. :-/

    The same is still true for me. Any "Join Cooking" or "Invite to Cook" options only prompts the other sim to stand around and cheer on or clap for the other sim...who is cooking...alone.

    I have this problem too... Only one Sim starts cooking, others (one or more) gather to kitchen but only to stand there idly doing nothing to help.

    This issue is still there. Sims just stand around or join cooking too late and they basically don't have time to even stir something in the bowl.

    I'm experiencing this issue across my saves, only the first sim does any actual cooking, other sims just cheer them on.

    @oonanor I had this problem in the starter house 30x20 in Foundry Cove in Willow Creek. I made the kitchen 1 square wider (so instead of 1 tile walkway it's 2) and I tore out the wall on the far side so it's open on the bathroom side as well as the bedroom side. Now my kid gets up on a stool and we both cook together.

    [sorry for my English] I tried cooking together with 3 Sims, each from a different household, two were visiting and the main is the house owner: one did fine and started cooking with my main Sim, right next to her, but the other went somewhere unknown and when the cooking animation ended, he showed up; so my conclusions, considerations and beliefs are the following:

    1. you need to have lots of counters for the animation to work (because the sim needs to find one easily and really fast). I had only two counters "available" in the kitchen, so I believe the third sim went to a bathroom counter to do the animation, but he disappeared, so who knows;
    2. if there are many sims in the lot, all with autonomy turned on, their interactions may break other sims' interactions and keep them busy so they won't go cook in time, specially children because I believe they receive lots of interactions to be taken care of by other adults;
    3. as soon as my sims started cooking together, the "group indicator floating crystal" (I don't know the name of that transparent "hexagonal" crystal) appeared; so try creating a group before starting the cooking interaction, it might help;
    4. I noticed, for the time I've been playing, that Sims 4 (like sometimes happened in Sims 3 too) has a lot of autonomy interference in families with high numbers of sims, because they keep trying to "sync" between each other and all stay still for too long; try disabling all autonomy when you want to do specific actions in your house, when you want full control, then enable the autonomy again after.

    My family of 8 sims goes nuts when the autonomy is on and I want to do something totally under my control, they move too fast, leave too soon, stay still waiting for a sim from the other side of the map to interact with it and never start what I commanded. Full Autonomy in the moment has too much "domination" over manual interactions, I think.
