[FIXED] [GTW] Signature cake labeled 'Simfirstname' when sold in bakery

I belatedly found out that one feature the Culinary career unlocks is the ability to bake a signature cake, which is listed as [Sim's First Name] Signature Cake. So if Bella Goth baked one, it would be called Bella's Signature Cake.

My Sim baked a few of these and put them for sale in her bakery. When a customer bought one, my Sim got the notification that the customer "bought a Simfirstname". That's just how the notification read:"Simfirstname", not the actual first name of my Sim.

  • For completion sake: Are you using mods in your game ?

Do you have other issues with mislabled stuff (Blanks or codes) ?

Oh, and a picture would be great. Just upload somewhere and post a link here.

No mods or custom content. I don't recall any other issues with mislabeled stuff.

I didn't grab a screenshot, but will if I see it happen again. Thanks!

I now have screenshots and more info on the error.

I went back to my bakery and saw that a signature cake that had been left out as a free sample displayed as "___'s Signature Cake" instead of showing the first name of the Sim who baked it ("Toot", who is also the owner of the bakery and sole member of this family). Screenshot here.

I later started a new game with a newly-created family of Sims. In that game, on the first Sim day of gameplay, one of my Sims was using a computer at the library when an apparent alien abduction attempt took place. Except instead of the usual message, in his queue it read "Investigate ____". Screenshot here. (I cancelled the attempted abduction with resetSim, as I don't want forced pregnancy in my game.)

At this point I repaired the game in Origin. Returning to my bakery in the first game, the signature cake description still had the above error. But when a customer took the last slice and began to eat it, the name of the cake slice displayed correctly as "Toot's Signature Cake". Screenshot here.

    Hope this info is helpful...

Thanks, I have not had the opportunity to check this since the patch.
