[FIXED] [HR] Selling Horses not increasing household funds

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.264.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Packs installed
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Sell a horse using the cellphone or from the horse directly in the "Actions" option.
What happens when the bug occurs? The pop to sell the horse comes up to confirm the sell, the horse then disappears from the lot. However, the household income does not increase from the sell of the horse.
What do you expect to see? I expect the household income to increase based on the amount the horse is sold for.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

No attachments to share.

  • Horses in locked, enclosed spaces or who otherwise cannot get to the edge of the lot now can be sold successfully.

  • @LazyDandelion I tested this and my Sim got their money but it took a moment. Did you get a message that the horse was sold at all ?

@crinrict Yes, the message that the horse was sold appears. The game seems to go through the actions of selling the horse correctly, just afterwards, there's no income change. The first time it happened, I thought maybe it was like Plopsy where it takes a while for someone to buy the horse, but nothing ever updated. I've sold three horses, two foals and an adult horse, same thing with each, horse is sold, leaves lot, but no income from the sale.

I'm going to start a new save to see if it's just this one household and/or just this one save file. I will let you know of the outcome.

@crinrict Looks like it may have been just this one save file. I tested in other households within the same save, and encountered the same problem. I then opened a brand new save and tested, the funds appeared immediately after the horse sale in the new save. So it seems it is this one save having the trouble.

@crinrict I didn't think of that, yes, I have other older saves. I will test there as well to see what happens.

@crinrict After testing another older saved game, I was able to successfully sell two horses and the income updated as it should. I tested with selling a horse I first rescued, and then tested with selling a foal born on my lot. Both sold and the income was received.

Cool, but it's an important save, so how do we fix it? 😅💙
