[FIXED] [HSY] Teens randomly stop taking exams

I had the same problem with 4 teen sims in the same household getting up from the exam to do random things like shovel snow, play violin, order food, etc. 3 of the 4 would cancel the exam interaction all together and then get up to do other tasks while the 4th kept working. one of my sims did this enough times that she didn't get credit for taking the exam at the end of the school day. In the second exam about halfway through I tried turning off autonomy just for the duration of the exam. didn't have any more problems, but there wasn't much longer left in the exam at that point. will update if it keeps working.

EDIT: I had autonomy turned off for the next exam and only one of the four sims got up from the exam one time, as opposed to almost all of them several times. Not a complete fix but definitely an improvement. Only problem is if I forget to turn autonomy back on after school.

Anyone know a mod that helps fix HSY issues like this?

not so much a workaround as what everyone is already doing when facing this bug. thats why the bug is here- because they're tired of doing the workaround.

This bug has been around for almost 2 years and hasn't been fixed yet? I still have students stopping their exams to go do whatever they want. If its just 1 teen its fine, but households with 2 or more, I feel like I am playing Whack a Mole and cycling between them to cancel their actions or forcing them to sit back down and take their test.

I think I have a better work around. This seems to happen with autonomy. What I did is turn off autonomy for all sims and they all seemed to stay and keep going on their exams. Even also getting their chance cards. So try this and see if it helps if it doesn't then do the other work around but keep autonomy off.

I have found a workaround that always seems to work on my saves. At class time, before they start the exam, cancel it and click on the whiteboard yourself to tell them to take it. I've found that if I tell them to take the exam before they start it instead of letting it start autonomously, they don't get up.
