Set your boundaries! There should be fewer invitations to become BFF with other Sims.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? every.single.one.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? hmm.. i have lots of sims on one save, two in one house on each world, so...38. Each couple is besties, and most are affianced; i'm playing them rotationally, and all 38 sims are friends with all the others (but you can only have one BEST friend, right?)
What happens when the bug occurs? One of the 38 (who is already best friends with THEIR fiance) comes over to a household I'm playing in another world, comes into the house uninvited (oh - and all 38 have the "always welcome" trait) and i get a pop-up box that i haven't seen before HSY asking to be besties with a sim (who is already besties with THEIR OWN fiance) - so they say no, and the relationship deteriorates, They send the sim with the boundary issues home, and then they COME BACK on the SAME DAY and DO IT AGAIN.
What do you expect to see? My sims being besties with the sims I MAKE them be besties with and RESPECTING it (laughing)
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? no cc or mods
