Set your boundaries! There should be fewer invitations to become BFF with other Sims.

I’m also having this and it’s driving me nuts. Especially because it lowers the relationship when I say no. It only happens with my sim who has the Pristine Reputation and Incredibly Friendly reward trait, so I assume that has something to do with it. I hope they fix this soon or start allowing multiple best friends! (or both, I would be happy with a fix AND the ability to have multiple best friends)
Perhaps this is working as designed for High School Sims? I just checked the Profile between sims where this is occurring, and see the "creeped out" and "dejected by rejection" sentiments. Both of those sentiments are painfully familiar from a high school maturation level, and perhaps even constantly swapping best friends? However, it doesn't seem age-appropriate for Adult Sims. Or at least not MY YA sims. They're so beyond that. Please Fix.
